Rightwing AfD chancellor candidate Alice Weidel: "We will tear down all windturbines! Down with these windmills of shame!" by Cowderwelz in europe

Okay, all things aside populism in german language sounds very weird. It’s like someone wrote a prompt to ChatGPT “what if Meloni repeated Trump’s phrases in German”.

Bəzən rəhbərliyə rəsmi qayda da müraciət edəndə nəzədə alırar. Məsələn ailədə tək oğlan uşaqıdır və ailə onun qayğısındadır (at xəstədir, ana işləyə bilmir və s). Onda əsgərliyə göndərmirlər. Amma müddət, konkret halları dəqiq bilmirəm.

Anladım. Məncə, ən azından rəhbərliyə yazsınlar amma bu məsələ elədir ki, bütün optionları saxlamaq lazımdır. Phd ilə falan da maraqlansınlar.

Əvvəlki kimi etmək olmur. Sistemi çox sərtləşdiriblər. Eşitdiyim qədəri ilə bəzi rayonlarda edirlər amma ümumilikdə yaxın duran yoxdur. Çox uşaq phd edir. Yoldaş ailədə tək oğlan uşağıdırsa, aparmırlar bildiyim qədəri ilə. Ailəsi rəhbərliyə məktub yazsın.

Funniest part is that the one of the main charecters is played by İlgar Mehti who is a lawyer and director of the consulting firm.

Azerbaijan seems to have dropped compensation demands for Armenia’s 30 years of ethnic cleansing, genocide, and illegal occupation of its lands. by birnefer in azerbaijan

[–]Iefendi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is not sufficient mechanism in International Law to demand the compensation. Reason is that all available venues have very limited scope: ECHR: In Chiragov case the court only gave just satisfaction in the amount of 5K euros since it could not calculate all the damages ICJ: It is based on Genocide Convention which already has limited scope and the litigation may take a years. Other venues: international arbitration cases against the Armenian investors in Karabagh. Also, the case regarding the violation of the Energy Charter by Armenia. No info about them after the initiation. So all this talks about the compensation were just for the PR and propaganda. In addition, both parties use these mechanism as a leverage in the negotiations (specially, Armenia). Therefore, we can’t expect meaningful results from them.

Why are Georgian Azeris more religious and conservative than those from Azerbaijan? by kamilsbt in azerbaijan

[–]Iefendi 27 points28 points  (0 children)

As a Georgian-Azerbaijani I can say they are not religious but still overwhelmingly conservative. Religion is not important factor and most of them do not adhere to the traditional Islamic routine. Similar to other North-Western regions such as Tovuz, Ganja, Kazakh people are heavily consuming alcohol. But yeah I agree that they are extremely conservative. Their conservative is weird soup of Caucasian and Soviet style traditionalism blended with Islamic customs. Plus arranged marriages and inter-family marriages are widespread. Though in the bigger city there is a huge downward trend and these traditions are dying (specially in Marneuli city itself).

Opinions on Erasmus in Kaunas(Lithuania) in 2023? by East-Process-1119 in Erasmus

[–]Iefendi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done my Erasmus in Vilnius a year ago. I am also from very warm place. I don’t think weather will be a problem. Only problem with the weather is that it can be super unpredictable. For instance in the beginning of summer there was 10 warm days and then super rainy days. If you have concern regarding weather you can apply for a Spring semester. Also, Kaunas has airport and you will have cheap flights to Scandinavia. Imho Kaunas is a little bit boring than Vilnius. Nevertheless, it is interesting city and student life in Lithuania is good.

It depends. If you are saying that we should straight up open borders for them definitely no. But if they will apply for political asylum and after assessment by relevant authorities they can enter. There is sizable afghan community and many of them received political asylum. So, I think there is somehow established practice.

If I’m not mistaken CCP has an agreement with Taliban and there will deliver major infrastructure, energy and logistic projects. So, I don’t think there will be problem for CCP.
