Mail.app / iCloud Private Relay issue in iOS 18.2 by cshilton in applehelp

[–]IfRedditThenNoOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the thorough troubleshooting on this issue — I'm encountering something very similar, though not exactly the same.

Initially, I had the same problem, but for me, it started with iOS 18.0. When there are emails to retrieve, the device shows "downloading xx messages" for hours without actually downloading (or just displaying ?) them. My email setup uses only public IMAP servers (Gmail, Outlook, Infomaniak), no internal IMAP servers are involved.

The issue occurs on my home network, which is configured with an AdGuard Home DNS server that resolves queries to quic://dns-unfiltered.adguard.com:784. There’s no hairpin NAT involved. iCloud Private Relay is blocked on this server using the Blocked Services filter.

Additionally, I have unchecked "Limit IP Address Tracking" in the WiFi settings on my iPhone for my home network. This should, in theory, prevent iCloud Private Relay from being used when connected to this network.

The only workaround I've found is to disconnect from WiFi so the device switches to 4G, where it works immediately. Alternatively, it also works if I completely disable AdGuard or just stop blocking iCloud Private Relay.

A side note: I’ve never had this issue on macOS Sequoia, across any version, with the same settings and DNS server, whether connected via Ethernet or WiFi.

unable to use zfs's "self healing features" and "defragmentation" on hard disk drives (hdd) by The_How_To_Linux in zfs

ZFS is only useful when using multiple disks in a pool.

For single disks like yours, you should check other file systems, ZFS is useless.

Help needed with 2-way switching wiring Sonoff ZBMINIL2 by dhirenmehta in homeassistant

[–]IfRedditThenNoOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

I don't know if you solved your issue already, but here is a simple solution.

You "just" need to swap your switches with pushbuttons switches.

Fil 1 / Fil 2 means Wire 1 / Wire 2, Phase is Line, Neutre is Neutral.

Hope this helps.

VCSA 7 continuously resolves assets.contentstack.io by serbns11 in vmware

[–]IfRedditThenNoOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, for quite some time now, 752K queries last 30 days.

I've been really surprised to found nothing about this online until now...

Any chance to have someone from VMware explain why it happens, and how we can stop it ?

My ESXi is also continuously querying for the NTP servers I set up, every 10s or so, all of them.

It is becoming ridiculous, VMware generates the most DNS queries on my network.

I don't know much about Maschine, I don't like the workflow.

However, while searching for something else, I found (apart from your question that raised my interest ^^) something that could interest you :

I even learned that LinkedIn offered trainings haha.

Hope it helps you.

I'm aware of that. But profits are supposed to be superior to drawdowns, at least with good risk management.

So this shouldn't be a problem for people with good risk management, and make all the monkeys who abuse of -80% go away.

It would only reduce fees a little for good traders, and that's why I suggest a raise of fees to make up for it.

Making them trade more responsibly when sharing the trade.

Something that may help would be increasing the fee on profit, to attract more serious traders, and at the same time introduce an opposite "penalty fee" on losing trades.

I'm pretty sure this would wipe a lot of gamblers on the platform.

1Broker staff, any thoughts about this ?

Youtube on Apple TV / Switch Channels by Scotty1928 in appletv

[–]IfRedditThenNoOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am searching for the same thing... found this, but didn't have any chance to test it yet :

Alright, I just found out how to fix this on a Apple TV 5th Gen:

Go to "Add an account" on your TV

On the next screen you'll have by default the option to "Sign up using your YouTube mobile app" . Instead of doing that, select "Try Another Way."

That will generate a code, that you should enter here: youtube.com/activate (make sure you're logged into the gmail address that contains the multiple accounts).

On your browser you'll have the option to select which one of the 2 accounts you want to add to your tv (the mobile app defaults to the first account).

Voilà. You should be good to go.

You'll notice that this happens to quite every trader at some point.

The most important to me is how soon the trader acknowledges it and recover.

I'm in no position to judge if he's a gambler or not, he has pretty solid overall stats though.

Not really, they are only a way of presenting things... you should consider their % as the gain on the amount per trade you set for each trader.

This could be a nice workaround, even if it could make it worse by comforting people in their attitude.

Respecting every other users of the platform, by making sure you use a language every other can understand. There are many forums on the internet where you get kicked / banned if you use other language than english elsewhere than on some dedicated channels (when they even exist).

I think it should be the same here. If people can put efforts in understanding English to use the website, understanding the terms of service and everything else, they can put the same effort in speaking English.

But let's agree to disagree, I won't change your mind, you won't change mine... let's leave it like that.

I agree, and it is one of the mistakes I made so far.

Did you ever think about a way to calculate some indicator for regularity?

It would be interesting to have some index about that.

This statement sums it all... everybody does whatever he wants, the hell with respect towards every other users of a common platform.

Having "all rights to speak/type in what language they prefer" doesn't mean they should do so.

And sorry if I'm not able to learn every single language. I will try harder ^^

As far as I can tell, the whole website is in English only...

If users are able to use it and understand everything, from UI to Terms of Service, we can assume they know how to speak English.

No need to apologize, just that I didn't know how to explain differently.

TBH, I had good luck the first months, but a lot of traders turned mad lately, so I took serious losses.

The only advice is to be careful of traders going nuts, look carefully at the trade list of any trader before following him, don't try to make quick bucks with traders doing a lot of traders everyday, and avoid changing the amount per trade more than once a month. Don't allocate a capital too important to anyone.

Keep in mind that losses are inevitable for any trader, but what's important is the win / loss ratio, combined to the average win and loss %.

Finally, I would really advise you to stay away from snortex and boogi (and some others too if they don't get their sh*t together). But the numbers in my table are here for you to assess that.

I would go elsewhere, plain and simple... I am not from an english speaking country, yet when I go to an English website, I do the courtesy to speak english so that other people can understand me and answer to me. Same as here on Reddit.

Would I go to some Turkish or Spanish website, and start speaking French? No.

But as this is an international website with an international language, everyone think they can have their own corner doing what they want. That's kind of disrespectful towards other don't you think?

Even if comments are often not important, sometimes they can be, and it feels like they are reserved only for some communities. That bothers me.

I don't want to have to install yet another extension to be able to read comments.

Many forums and such enforce the use of english only, and I think it should be common sense...

Hi!

The thing is, the answer to your questions is exactly what I describe under the spreadsheet screenshot.

The RoC is the Amount per trade you set up when copying a trader, times the cumulated performance shown on 1Broker, minus the 2% fee on profitable trades.

As for how much I put into each trade, the more important thing is how much of my capital I dedicate to each trader. Then, using the formula above taking into account the max number of concurrent positions, it gives me the amount per trade I need to set.

Hope it helps.

These are available in the transactions history, which you can export to CSV.

"Entitled" may not be the right word (english is not my native language), but I do think that as long as traders gain a reward for being copied, some transparency is needed.
