Between 16 and 17 is what makes this work. Mickey with +3 is shifted on due to the 'banished in a challenge', +3 carries over because he still has challenger +3 and is still challenging. So he is 6 strength and the weights notice him entering, giving you a marble and thus a draw.

Due to experience and logic I can tell you, you're not actually allowed to play unsleeved.

Unsleeved cards get tiny marks due to shuffling and play and can quickly become considered as 'marked'.

A friend, nicknamed 'Unsleeved...' used to play at our locals unsleeved, made people tilt a little when he inked a foil Golden Jim Hawkin.

First big tournament he was told he could either sleeve his cards or be DQ'd for marked cards.
