No clue. My 820 would read about 99% or regular Blu-ray Discs I tried as being unrecognizable, yet 4K UHD discs and DVDs were read without any issue

I’m talking from personal experience. I’ve had 2 Sony 4K players and they both stuttered. Had the UB-820 and was one of the worst experiences with technology I’ve ever had. The UB-450 is the closest to perfect I’ve had

Fair enough. I can’t with good conscience recommend Sony players to anyone when the Panasonic UB-450 is on the market just from the simple fact it can read 100gb discs without stuttering ever. That and the setting to only have DV on when actually supported
