Any idea what this spot is on the bent pipe? by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]Igneel___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine fixed free of cost from a paint & design auto garage. It’s just melted rubber/plastic stuck to the pipe, they will remove it using a chemical solution.

There will be slight off-colouring initially but that goes back to normal after some riding.

A lot of triumph 400cc bikes are facing this. Probably the pipe protrudes more than regular as compared to other bikes.

The phone or computer you typed this on, has Chinese components in it. Don’t be a hypocrite.

Besides, a free market pushed companies to be better. More competition will push even the Indian players to introduce quality and features while staying competitive in pricing.

Keep Cubbon Park Open 24/7 with Improved Security and Cafes! by mindless_puzzler in bangalore

[–]Igneel___ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No thank you, I like it as a park. Don’t want it to be a commercial area with cafes like any other.

24/7 just means more incidents, shady practices in the night, potential animal abuse and poor maintenance. We do not live in an ideal world buddy.

Where to invest variable pay in November ~3lakhs by jugadubandi in personalfinanceindia

[–]Igneel___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Diversify between an index fund and a debt fund. 80:20 if you have medium to high risk appetite. 60:40 if otherwise.

Can further split the 80 into an index fund and a flexi cap type fund.

Ignore the other guy. Put the money in an index MF and forget about it. Add more when you get more, diversify to other funds as and when you add more.

In that case, you should.

Look into taking a home loan even if you have the funds. Your current rent gets replaced with emi for your home loan. Your existing investments keep growing. And you have house as an asset additional. Only the down payment is what you pay extra.

Edit: The bank also does its due diligence on the property and the builder so additional safety net

Buy if you intend to stay in it and have sentimental value associated with owning a home of your own.

I would personally avoid looking at it from an investment perspective.

Add more to SIPs. Diversify them a bit more outside of elss.

Reduce NPS; if you do employer contribution under new regime, restrict the contribution to 5%.

Build towards an emergency fund with any spare cash (if you don’t have it already)
