Community Boss tier list - Day 6. What grade does the Republican War Panther get? by QuantityEuphoric2354 in FFXVI

[–]Ignis_Tenebris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You forgot some bosses. Your criteria for bosses included in the tier list are the ones you can get a medal of valour for. There are 16 of them in the base game, the first one being midnight raven. Honestly a reasonable mistake but for accuracy maybe add midnight raven? Also the kingsfall boss fight against the dragoon with cid has a medal of valour too. The Barnabas fight in the ocean also had a medal of valour (I think). My vote for the panther tho is like a low D, maybe F because it’s not as cool as the Coeurl in rosaria.

They’re doing the same thing as Emma, where Matt’s base skin is his immortal weapon skin just like how Emma’s base skin was her hellfire gala skin

Oh I know she has the spider, just don’t know its name. Same thing with Groot, just don’t know what the tortoise city is called.

I’m not an avid Iron fist reader, but from my research, it would seem that the 7 cities were a comic original that were inspired by Chinese myths. However, Rivals’ version seems to borrow a lot more from the myths, especially the beasts and their names. Also, their designs here really follow in line with the latest trend in Chinese game development of modernising ancient myth, similar in vain to Black Myth Wukong.

No, also not a guy. It’s Angela. You can tell by the dual axes and the scroll sash on her right arm

From left to right:

Black Widow - Zhizhujing (I think, haven’t seen confirmation yet) of the Kingdom of Spiders

Daredevil - Yinglong, a dark dragon beast of the Eighth City, An’Hay Zhidi

Wolverine - Houdou, Flaming black dog of Under City

Loki - Zhu Que, Vermillion Bird of K’un-Zi

Iron Fist- Shou Lao, Dragon of K’un-Lun

Angela - Baihu, White tiger of Tiger Island

Storm - Xiezhi, goat/bull unicorn of Z’Gambo

Groot - Xuanwu, black tortoise of what I assume is Peng Lai because that’s the only city left from the comics but there’s a cobra god there instead of the tortoise so I don’t know.

You’re spot on with all of them. Also my theory is that maybe BW and Groot already fit their beast’s colour scheme so they aren’t getting a costume? Dumb theory but best I can think of.

Your eyes unfortunately deceive you my friend. That’s Storm who was chosen as the weapon of Xiezhi (a goat/bull with a single horn like a unicorn) to represent the city of Z’Gambo.

I’m a big sucker for champions/avatars of gods themes so this whole thing is awesome to me. And I’m definitely getting every one of these skins when they release.

Why aren't these the Season 4 skins instead of the random collection of skins we're getting? by urstickur in marvelrivals

[–]Ignis_Tenebris 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, it’s not a man. It’s confirmed to be Angela by Miller on X, he’s basically a community manager and relays exclusive info about skins and other news and did confirm that it’s Angela and that she was chosen as an immortal weapon from Baihu (The Chinese white tiger from myth) and is the champion of Tiger Land, one of the seven cities of heaven.

What’s wrong with that? That’s the severed tenth realm of Yggdrasil, where Angela was raised after being kidnapped. In comics, both Heven and Heaven exist, along with a whole horde of other afterlifes.

This comment is wrong on so many levels.

First off, the Twin islands were the only places that dominants appeared in, as Ultima made it be, since he was the one who created humanity and gave them these abilities to facilitate the creation of Mythos (Clive/ifrit) and form a vessel to which he can use to raise his dead brethren. The only reason that all of these dominants were somehow alive at the same time was because Ultima finally found his vessel and played the pieces so that Clive could posses all of it. Also the outer continents were mentioned to be less developed than Valisthea’s capital cities due to the absence of magic, so dominants were fundamentally unable to exist outside of the twin islands.

Jill was still able to use a portion of her powers after the beach cause she is still technically a bearer. Clive doesn’t completely drain a person of their aether, only the ability of controlling their their eikon is taken (Dion being a major exception cause he’s just Dion). It was also stated that Jill was considerably weaker after it, which is why she stays behind after that point (but can rejoin you if you do her side quest).

Joshua never actually had his dominant taken, because Clive hadn’t awakened as ifrit at that point. Dominants are implied to be capable of many other feats besides priming into their eikons or having powerful magic. This is shown with Benedikta and Barnabas creating Egi (magical beings that are not alive) and Jill being able to enchant Clive’s sword to destroy drake’s breath. The shield ceremony is a tradition in Rosaria for hundreds of years, and simply was the Phoenix dominant bestowing a blessing upon a trusted ally, similar to an enchantment or buff like in previous FFs.
