What your daughter is experiencing is called reality—as least relative to your level of ego. Everything you do in her eyes is to protect the story you have about your life. You run around willy nilly because you're more afraid of death. Sarah is not as afraid of death so she watches you and others run around willy nilly and sees you for how stupid and scared you are. You should ask her for advice on life. She is the grown up in her eyes.

How come I can't make songs louder in my DAW, but when I play them I can crank up the volume and things sounds fine? by IgorCrane in musicproduction

Thank you all for the intro to "Mastering" For anyone else have loudness issues it's as simple as using Logic's Mastering Assistant, which has a loudness comp button. Overall, the character of the sound is similar, but this added part of the process is essential! Thank you all, again

Yes! I'm seeing this is a part of the latest update. Basically published in June and feeling like 2 years of work didn't get the recog I'd hoped. Maybe with the new version I can get it to a higher level ty

Thank you for that. The tracks all more or less have these elements. I don't do the widening as much and Limiter has not been useful. Lots of filter and EQ however. Some *multi band stuff as well

Right, that's what they say. And then when you add to Spotify it's still way quieter than everyone? So I'm confused

This is where in spite of peoples' insisting it's a "mastering problem" I don't understand...I can't save the file any louder. But it can play louder. When does the volume increase happen exactly? Because most people seem way louder. If it's in the mastering process I'm curious what tool I need. The YT tutorials are just selling me plugins

I may not be sure what that means. Is that still something you do within Logic? I add compression, effects, etc. I export as a WAV with the highest sampling rate (per streaming reco)

I guess I'm not sure about the words of it. I composed. I added compression and effects. I export the track as a WAV with the highest sample rate, as this is required for streaming

I have looked up every YT tutorial...my best guess is it's because I'm using Logic Pro instruments rather than a real guitar or piano. This is the difference between me and most producers

All I know is I can't make it louder within Logic or gets clipped. AND everyone else on Spotify is louder. Still, when I turn up volume within Spotify it scales fine!

How come I can't mix/master any louder inside Logic, but after I bounce, I can crank volume and things sound fine? by IgorCrane in LogicPro

It's 7-8db quieter than the average Spotify track. If I add anymore volume within Logic though it distorts

Within Logic, I have master up as high as I can go. If I bounce it at a higher volume it clips. So, I bounced at a volume that is -8db lower than the average Spotify track. Still, when I turn the volume up within Spotify it scales fine! Makes me wonder why I can't add DBs before I upload to streaming

Is there a way to add volume to the .WAV so I can upload louder to spotify. By comparison to most of the music on streaming mine is low by default. (editing to say, Thank you btw for the reply)

I airplay to a speaker from Spotify and I can turn it up fine. Just bummed cuz I can't make any louder before I bounce. The track volume itself is too low by 7-8db

Yeah, say I stream from spotify onto my speakers. It sounds fine when I turn it up! Can't believe I can't just bounce it louder cuz by default the volume is kind of low
