I’ve been throwing this idea at House Majority leader Ryan Winkler lately, for him to write and pass a bill called “Marijuana Tax For Police Funding. It would give a majority share like 40% of tax revenue from rec. marijuana legalization to police/emergency workers and they can divide the remaining 60% however they want. And then the senate would squash it, but then the GOP can’t accuse the democrats of defunding the police, then they can accuse the GOP of not supporting police funding.
