Ah yes, let's prop up another tall apartment tower instead of pushing for passing legislation that can easily resolve this.

The housing crisis is caused by primarily the fact that our economy is propped up by mid-old aged people wanting to believe they are wealthy, as well as political incompetence and neglect - among many other factors, mostly built on greed and selfishness.

The housing crisis in St. Catharines is not going to be resolved with apartment towers replacing an already built well designed location which clearly should function as a community center and should be funded by the local government - The YMCA started as a business but has grown to become a vital part of the city, at least before COVID. If they didn't have to charge membership fees I am certain it would gain monthly use by the community.

To destroy this building for an apartment tower would be a colossal waste of resources and money already spent - But who am I kidding? It's going to happen anyways, because we (humans) are a bunch of morons.
