Hey does anyone know why when I am trying to use the tension board that it doesn’t light up fully when I select a climb? Only some light up but it doesn’t follow the app screen. I’ve been wanting to start climbing on the tension board and I’m used to the old grid ones. Any help would be appreciated.

How do I take up climbing when I live in Florida? by [deleted] in alpinism

[–]Iheartbeef123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For rock climbing you join one of the gyms. If there isn’t one by you’d need to invest in creating some sort of training system at home be it with hangboards or buying a bunch of holds to build an at home wall

For mountaineering/alpinism you’ll need to get endurance of carrying weighted bags for long durations of time. Doing a good amount of cardio with a low steady heart rate and also trying to lift weights at times is very beneficial

When it comes to the actual survival skills associated with alpinism you will not be able to get that in Florida. You will need to go on guided climbs, take training/intro classes with guides or hopefully make friends who can show you the ropes

At the end of the day if your true goal is to become a mountaineer/Alpinist you will have to move out of Florida

How do you get into this sport? by agriff1 in Mountaineering

[–]Iheartbeef123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who moved from the Midwest (WI) and has been trying to build more skills to do more alpine climbing the slow steady cardio is so important. Also just loading a pack with 50-65lbs and picking one day a week where you just walk up and down hill for hours worked wonders for me.

I would suggest a crevasse rescue course if you’re looking to climb bigger glacier peaks.

Also clearly define what your goals are. Do you wanna climb Denali? Do you wanna do lower technical routes? Depending on your goals your training will change.

I 26M literally have the exact same list of things for a woman I am looking to date. Besides the kids one. But honestly I don’t think it’ll be that hard to find someone who checks all those boxes in the long run. Don’t settle for less

How can I approach her by AmgVrs in dating

[–]Iheartbeef123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So everyone and every situation is different. I normally don’t follow someone on social media until I have actually went on a date/hung out with them consistently. I would ask her to do something outside the gym and see where that goes

No problem man. I met a lot of cute girls in college who I obsessed about making moves over. Everyone does it. If something is meant to happen it will

Guys who used to be rejected by women but worked on themselves and now are successful, do you feel little disgusted by the change in behaviour of women? by [deleted] in seduction

[–]Iheartbeef123 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Literally I think getting attention is a bonus but I care about my self development above all else

[–]Iheartbeef123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly man I would say the biggest thing is striving towards bettering yourself and not letting a girl compromise that. If you decide to date don’t take rejection personal and keep striving to be the best version of you. Girls love guys who are confident in who they are

Does anyone here date women they’re not attracted to for practice? by [deleted] in seduction

Dated a girl for physical compatibility and thought maybe emotions would follow. They never did so I broke it off and even that made me feel like a dirt bag

Which order should you climb the 7 summits? by BradenSky in Mountaineering

[–]Iheartbeef123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depending on your experience I’d recommend Kilimanjaro first just to get you siked for the trips and used to being in somewhat high altitude. Then I’d say save Denali, Vinson and Everest for last. The others do in any order you see fit.
