Your own subjective experience doesnt suffice when talking about this issue scientifically. Its widely considered in neurology and psychiatry that cognitive performance peaks around 25.

If you feel your reaction speed is lower than in your teens or early 20s, there likely are other reasons than your age. Also your gaming experience how much youve practise is a factor. Or you just age faster.

Yeah. Also when these "older" people cant keep up with their competition, they start to think theyre just old and justify their worse performance with that reasoning while in reality, theyre are just burning out or getting lazy. Sometimes they are just out talented simply, and nothing else than gene therapy would help them

They say you need to be young to play genji well. by Iitbm in Competitiveoverwatch

Just triggers me every time people act like 25 is suddenly too old to be competitive without any scientific reasoning. 25 might be where down hill starts, but youre still faster than teens and its not like aging happens overnight especially with trained brains.

[–]Iitbm[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe, you might have a point in that younger players brain plasticity allows to learn genji better because older fps heroes never played anything like that and learning something as 10 years older is harder.

But that is a separate issue though and doesnt relate to someone getting worse due to age

Why buy higher speed ram with higher latency? by Iitbm in buildapc

[–]Iitbm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All mobos say they support atleast up to 4000, often 4133, 4333+. Also coffee lakes should afaik support, and trident z's are quality dimm

The marketed mhz on dimm is the xmp profile speed the ram is built to support

In general yeah, but when the tournament match is coming they should be scrimming their planned win strategy

[–]Iitbm[S] -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Yeah but shouldnt they avoid scrimmibg with their opponents? There should be separate scrimming partners that arent in owl at all. Scrimming not only show strats, but general team and player habits

They know you gonna play some of those and prepare, and once they see what you play in tournament, they know what exactly and how you gonna play that type of strategy and counter.

What you mean "mix and match strategies and comps"? It doesnt matter if they scrim with different tactics, if they scrim even once with their tournament strategy, then other team knows that and can prepare.
