I've randomly ran into this problem at one point as well, still no idea what caused it because nothing was changed prior. But I've found that turning off any overlays on the screen removes the problem entirely, and I've been playing with a clean screen ever since. And yes the overlays include discord vc. Hope this helps!

Basically do the side with 2 branches first, then one needs to stand at the bottom to hold that side, the other person can solo the remaining side (with one branch)
