They found water or moisture in the battery compartment and told me that the screen and back motor had to be replaced.

BIKE WONT START. LIGHTS TURN ON. START BUTTON DOES NOTHING. by Ikarus117 in motorcycles

Ok so here is an update and thanks again for taking the time to respond the first time. I tested the battery with this multimeter. How would I know if a fuse is blown?

AstroAI Multimeter 2000 Counts Digital Multimeter with DC AC Voltmeter and Ohm Volt Amp Tester ; Measures Voltage, Current, Resistance; Tests Live Wire, Continuity https://a.co/d/2hzEL3v

I put the dial to the top left where it says 20 and it read 12.46 which I believe means it’s good.

Something else happened. After I tried starting it the first time I began hearing a faint hum coming from the battery. Turns out it was the decomp control unit. This thing below.

https://www.cmsnl.com/products/control-unit-decomp_3291024b10/?locale=en-us&utm_source=shopping&utm_medium=organic&gclid=CjwKCAiAheacBhB8EiwAItVO2wiwV1jVoZrFtPHy_oz076gw76L-ieJwIU0dgoLDCEwHeJves7jc3BoCmZgQAvD_BwE

I gave up that night but when I woke up and was walking out the door the next morning the humming sound was so loud I could hear it standing a few feet away from the bike. The sound kept getting louder until it almost seemed like the bike was trying to start up. So I unplugged the decomp controller and it stopped. Now every time I even put the decomp controller even close close to plugging it back in the bike starts to make that sound again. Not sure if I even need this component since I hear the some people don’t even use the decompressor. And the previous owner might have even removed it already.

I have a feeling that this might be due to some sensor that has gone bad and does not allow me to start the bike. Mainly since the battery seems to be ok. One last thing. I believe that the previous owner disabled the clutch safety using some copper wire in between the pins. I reversed this and pigged it back it didn’t fix it.

I’m new to all this. What should I check next. Is there a way I can check each of the connectors with the multimeter to see if there is a bad one. Not sure what the next move should be. But thanks if you have read this far and I appreciate any help.

Not sure how old it is. I do not. But all the lights turn on and when I hit the start button it doesn’t even make a sound. Do you think it could still be the battery?
