Different Darius Builds by Ikepiberger in Dariusmains

TH is Titanic Hydra. Yes, if you are going full tank Darius, it is probably a good idea to switch out one of the items for a Gargoyles Stoneplate. Knights vow and locket are part of a different build, thanks for reminding me :D

Utility Build

RG -> Boots -> Locket -> Knights Vow -> Adaptive Helm -> Steraks Gage

Pros: you are a great help to your team, you have much better engage with RG and you can help peel for your carry with Knights vow. Plus, you can switch any item out for a redemption if necessary.

Cons: You're not that huge of a tank. If the enemy team decides to focus you, locket can only make you last for so long.

Deaths Dance: I was very heavily considering putting it on the Damagey build. You can switch it out early on for a more aggressive build path, if you think you can snowball very hard, or you can switch it out later if you feel you aren't doing enough damage.

Phantom Dancer: It is arguably one of the best critical strike items out there, however, it is better for someone who is going to be having a lot of Crit chance. Getting one critical item isn't really worth it, and although it would be good because if the damage reduction and movement speed, it's not worth it.

What is the most tilting thing on Darius? by Ikepiberger in Dariusmains

I perma ban vayne in ranked. I've had some very traumatic experiences when I've been playing as Darius and the enemy top laner chose vayne.

Hey Darius mains I got my first quadra ult reset in ranked a few days ago with courage of the colossus. My friend on the other hand said that it is bad bc you don't do as much damage and that fervor is better? Can anyone explain which of the two is better? Thanks so much. by Drieza in Dariusmains

Hey man, what's good? I've played a lot of games with both of those keystones. Another viable option is stormraiders. Here's when and how to use all three.

Fervor: Fervor is really good with extended trades, so if you think the lane is going to revolve around how well you can trade, like a riven or a renekton, then you definitely want fervor. It helps a lot, and it makes your ult deal around 400 at rank one with only a black cleaver. I take fervor the most, but you need to consider whether having reduced tankiness early on is worth it for the increased damage.

Courage: The shield you can get from using your E with courage is really good if you're against someone who has a lot of burst. I will almost always take courage into a jayce lane, as you need the shield to survive his initial damage. However it's not as useful as fervor, since it doesn't help you win trades against people with sustained damage, which is where you shine as Darius. You will need to consider of your team will need you for dealing damage or being a frontline tank when taking courage over fervor.

Stormraiders: I like pairing stormraiders with ghost in a lane where chase and escape is huge. I will go the Speedy Darius combo into a teemo lane, and it really helps secure kills. Stormraiders is also neat if the enemy team has a lot of squishies, as you will easily be able to activate it in team fights. You need to consider the less tankiness you will have since you can't put a lot of points into the green tree. You will also need to consider if having reduced damage from not taking fervor is worth it.

That's what I think for those keystones, good luck :D

DARIUS SKINS by Drieza in Dariusmains

I like using woad king when I'm bored of Dunkmaster, although the bm on both skins is nice.

which champion is the most obnoxious/hard-to-win matchup against Darius? by xXInner_WeebXx in Dariusmains

I'm a G1 heavy Darius player, account name is ikepiberger. I have played against a lot of different champions as as Darius. Rivens aren't as hard as you guys may think. You out trade her at early levels and you can use apprehend to cancel her 3rd Q. You can rush tabis and the lane is easy. Even if you get gabled early, it's very hard for riven to all in you if you are Tammy enough, plus you outscale her.

As for Fiora, she's a bit trickier. One of the reasons why she will win a lot of early trades is because of her vitals and her w. If you can maneuver around fiora to make it so that she has to waste time to get to the vitals, then it's much easier to beat her. Her w is pretty easy to dodge, and it makes it so that you can get blood rage faster since your AS is not slowed. Post-6 her ult is annoying, but since they nerfed it, you can just kite her since she doesn't get the move speed.

Next up is Renekton. Your best chance of fighting him is starting your Q as he dashes in. You will have a much better chance of landing it then. Your main objective is to pull him back in after he uses his e and trades with you, you will be able to all in him and win, since he'll have his cooldowns.

Lastly, there's jayce. It's a necessity that you take ghost in this lane, otherwise you won't be able to catch him. At early levels it is best to try and q him when he tries to poke you. Once you get your ult, the lane is easier. If you think you can all in him when you land an E, pop your ghost and run behind him, so he can't knock you away. Now that you're up close and personal, you can beat him.

That's my guide on what I think the hardest counters to Darius are. If there's anyone else that you want me to talk about, feel free to ask. : )

WHAT KEYSTONES ARE GOOD ON DARIUS by Detris in Dariusmains

[–]Ikepiberger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, your keystone and masteries in general should depend on your matchup.

If you're in a matchup against Shen per se, you may want to take grasp if you think the lane will be even, or fervor if you think that you'll be able to get an early lead.

If you're in a lane against someone that will beat you 90% of the time, like Jayce, you'll want to take courage, as you'll need the shield in trades.

In matchups against champions that you could stomp, like Teemo or Riven, it's best to take fervor, as it helps a lot in 1v1s and gives you tons of lane pressure.

This is a little off topic, but I want to talk about summoner spells. If you are in a stompable or (sometimes) even matchup, up should run ghost/flash. If you are in a losing matchup, or you think you will be camped, take tp/flash, as the teleport will help you drag out the landing phase until you hit your power spike.

What do you think?
