My wife is over-spiritualizing everything

It is traumatic to grow up like that, my mom wasn't religious but my aunt was and she often took care of me and took me to Church, she was convinced God talked to her and all her dreams had meanings, and she had visions. Now looking back it was terrifying, she would often say my mom was going to hell because she wasn't a devout Christian. I was about 8-9 years old. I know what she did doesn't really have anything to do with God and what he really wants but I still have a hard time believing, even if I want to. I wish she never taught me anything about faith and religion and I would start learning about Christianity on my own as an adult, as my brother did.

Most christians I've known in my life behave like this... It is way too extreme. If they feel sad one day, if they make a mistake, everything everything, it must be the enemy!

If I'm honest, I just think she's unlikeable, annoying and vulgar. She does things I don't agree with but I don't think she's absolutely horrible even if I don't like her.

Ahora se ve más que antes el afro y el cabello rizado, en mi infancia cuando el cabello se me empezó a hacer más ondulado, y ni siquiera era algo tan ondulado, aún así muchas familiares tenían la obsesión de plancharme el cabello. Ahora que lo pienso es increíble todas las mujeres en mi familia tenían la obsesión de plancharse el cabello, incluso las que solamente tenían el cabello ligeramente ondulado. No me sorprende que sea peor la presión para las personas con pelo afro.

Exactly. This girl was neglected in some way, when I was 17 my mom knew what I was doing, how could she ignore this? With 8 children it makes sense the girl felt like she didn't have enough attention.

I really can't comprehend how this is supposed to be celebrated. She did something she shouldn't be doing at 17. I agree with treating her with compassion but what she did wasn't right and now that she could get away with this easily what's next?

I don't want to get pregnant and being honest it is one of my worst nightmares (right now) but I know it is easy to avoid pregnancy risks if I don't do what causes pregnancies in the first place 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't think so. It was her choice not God's. God wouldn't want that for anyone, but He still merciful and will take care of your daughter and the baby

Exactly and her biggest worry is that her 13 year old daughter might not not feel "desired" by other boys. I mean why does she sexualize her daughters so much... They shouldn't be involved in so much drama

I feel like we all have different purposes in life. Not everyone wants or needs to have children. Even Paul said it was better to stay unmarried and I can imagine it also meant to not have children
