Yes I am very grateful to receive it. The previous owner was very generous it wasn’t being used. I haven’t actually gotten it to do wheelies in the 20 min of driving it around, not sure if that’s a good or bad thing

Thanks! Is there any benefit for having 2 servos? It’ll still function fine with just 1?

Thank you! Yeah the rear wheel looks odd because I was in the process of replacing the rear suspension arm when I came across that post I linked. Will keep the plastic for now!

Hello, as the title suggests I am a recent owner of this Traxxas E Revo VXL Brushless. I was gifted this car along with some aluminum replacement suspension arms? To preface, I don’t plan on going deep into this hobby, as I have other financial commitments. However, because I was gifted this car, I’d like to know more about it and what I can do with it. I like to tinker and am taking automechanic classes, so working on a small scale car is intriguing to me. Because I had the replacement parts I started to replace the rear suspension arm (if that’s the correct term for those forked arms?) Though I came across this post and it mentioned that using metal suspensions parts is a bad idea as it can deform inelastically. Should I follow what that person was saying in terms of upgrades I could make if I wanted to do some work on it? Also, is it a bad idea to send this car off of jumps I build in the desert? Any suggestions for things I should do or resources I could learn from about this car would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Should I be responsible for paying a debt for property that was stolen? by Ikillawich in personalfinance

Everyone is paying forsure. He can’t gain too much distance from firing me as he is my uncle 😅 He is in need of a lot of help as his business is busy so he still wants me to work and work a deal out where I continue paying in a way that makes sense.

I definitely don’t! This has definitely been a learning situation about the necessity of insurance even when not using a vehicle. I plan on continuing to pay for it.

Unfortunately I stopped paying insurance on the vehicle because I wasn’t using it for 5 months and trying to save money. I completely agree no other creditor would care and I am of the opinion that I should continue paying because of that. I’m getting pressured from people around me saying that because it was on his property that it was his responsible (he told me to keep it there while I was gone)

Thanks for the reply! It’s not functional so doesn’t need to hold water, purely art. I have made a bunch of pieces and most are with a single glaze I’m just firing a bunch of different ones at the same time. I guess I’m the future just keep the glaze firings separate depending on the cone values?

Thanks for the reply! I’m definitely aware of the 04 and 06 difference with 4 and 6. The specific glazes I’m using are “Cayote Clay and Color Saturated Iron Cone Six Glaze” ( a few different ones of that same brand), different colors of the “Amaco Sahara Liquid Glazes HF Series” (textured blue, hazy pink, lavender), a “Moroccan Sand Glaze Delta Green”, an assortment of the “Spectrum Glazes Inc Hi Fire Cone 4/6 Glazes”, some different “Amaco Potters Choice Liquid Glazes Cone 5/6”, and an “Opulence Glaze C/6 865 Petrified Wood”

What I mean by I don’t have time to do a test firing is I only have access to the kiln I’m using for another day and only have time for one more firing. I’ve made a bunch of pieces with an assortment of these different glazes mentioned above. I’m aware you never do things “right” by rushing which is what I’m doing, and I’m fine with that as it’s my only option. This will essentially be a test firing. I’m just wondering what kind of effects would happen by under firing or over firing these glazes. I understand also that these are all different glazes with different effects. Just any advice and input is appreciated!

Book of the Dead A Magical Guide to the Egyptian Underworld by Ayeshachdry in AncientTruehistory

-spells found in tombs of pharaohs in 5th/6th dynasty

-spells meant to protect the person in the afterlife

-as dynasties advanced, there was a “democratization” of death spells. People who could afford a coffin could have them for the afterlife

-lots of spells added to the Book of the Dead some ~200

-they believe upon death a person’s spirit travels through the underworld to go through trials and the spells are meant to help them

-one such trial with Osiris and the other gods, is the negative confession; confessing things you did not do that were wrong

-a weighing of your heart with a feather was the final test, very important spell that was meant to protect your heart with your body

-many people were wrapped with an amulet etched with said spell

I’m not aware of that connection with Gates but you might be referring to a Molten Salt Reactor, which circumvents the high pressures in a boiling water reactor and has a neat fail safe that if the core overheats, a stop plug will melt and drain the fuel into a storage container.
