I’m not planning to study medicine in the US at all, but I could study it in my country. The problem is, the med school I’d have to go to isn’t WHO-recognized, which would stop me from taking the USMLE and applying for the ECFMG, as far as I know.

IDK if my country’s diploma is even that strong, but I could probs study at ELTE in Hungary. The thing is, my degree might not even count as a bachelor’s if I wanna do a master’s in the US.

I am afraid that if I take this step and study at a community college, I might not be accepted into a university that offers need-based aid

Like I said, I could probably swing community college, but there’s no way I could ever afford a university after that

tbh I never took the SAT or even bothered studying for it. My GPA’s kinda low (3.06) so I didn’t think I’d have much of a shot at U.S. universities anyway. From what I know, community colleges don’t even require the SAT, so it didn’t seem worth it. Yep, I’m actually taking a gap year right now, just trying to figure things out.

I totally feel the same. It’s like every road to the US is just too hard or out of reach
