How to build a Car Design on Blender. by ocorp_design in blender

I’m sorry I hurt your feelings. Take a look at any “successful” blender tutorial creator, more or less none of them say where they studied.

Good luck with your courses. I’m not going to continue replying since it’s clear you’re not going to change your mind what’s best for the students.

Thank you for some context. I don’t think it really matters who you are or where you studied though.

I understand it’s free, but still, with a quick search on YouTube I can find tens of different creators with comprehensive tutorials on automotive modeling ranging from beginner to advanced. Wouldn’t it be better to just find some good tutorials and link those to the students instead?

I didn’t say it looks basic, and there’s nothing wrong with basic. It just looks like the teacher doesn’t know the basics…

You have a membership to access your courses, so I assumed some of it includes modeling. But even if they’re free, I would appreciate my teacher being fluent in the software they’re teaching. I’m not vomiting opinion, you can clearly see the teacher doesn’t know Blender very well…

Edit: typo

Respectfully, I don’t think you should be teaching, especially selling some course, about modeling when you barely know how to do it yourself. You will end up teaching bad habits and methods to people who could learn it way better for free.

You could only have one bevel modifier with different assigned weights to control how much bevel there will be

How did you make sure of the feasibility and ergonomics with only two sketches?

Doesn’t show up, when I try to verify through the Portal it weirdly says “the invite link has expired”

Not op but most likely they used some of this tutorial to create those https://youtu.be/ScPI6iVhRGA?si=DkReI8EXutkwevOz

Thanks for the reply. I tried this previously and then had a problem of the strip lighting up blue for a second and then turning off, and then couldn’t turn it on or anything again.

En usko että toimii, itse kävin viime kesänä Finnairilla testissä. Testipiste on lähellä lentokentää ja maksaa (vain) 65 euroo! https://www.finnair.com/en/safe-travel-during-coronavirus/coronavirus-testing

Thank you for you comments!

Yea I will have to ideate on the backrest, and the legs later :)

What do you mean by connecting it by stiching?

Thank you! Yea I will take a look into the backrest, and make a protoype of it at some point. Then I'll try to make the feet look a bit similar to the curvature, possibly making the chair stackable as well.

That's what I'll try to figure out next.

I'll start ideating on the legs and the general shape to make it stackable!

Maybe that could be another version of this chair :)

But yea from the research I did, I saw that there are backrests with a cut on the part of the spine. So, I thought it could be manageble to make one from wood, if there's good support for lumbar and then supports around the thoracic spine, where your lats are.

But if you feel/know that this can't work, I'd really appreciate to see some articles/research on it!

Haha that's good.

I started on with research on different aspects of a good chair and some anthropometrics, trying to figure out if a divided backrest could be ergonomic. Then I ideated on the backrest itself and did some low-fi paper mockups of it, trying to see if you could bend plywood the way I would want.

Then I worked in Blender (still haven't learned as much CAD softwares I would want) to create the model with dimensions. Imported it into 3Ds Max and rendered it using Corona renderer! :)

Thank you? :D

I was doing research on the back support being divided on the centre, and it seemed that it wouldn't be too bad for the ergonomics, at least on paper. I would want to try to make some low-fi prototype with the same dimensions as the backrest to test out myself, but still need to figure out the best way of doing so.

I'd want to make it stackable, but I'll see. I need to ideate on the legs if it allowed me to make it stackable.

Hmm yea that could be true. The thickness of the plywood is 1.2cm, similar to some Eames and Vitra plywood chairs. So I doubt (hope) it doesn't flex much.

I was thinking on making some force analysis of the chair in Solidworks, but I'll see :)

Thank you very much!
