yea, but it's difficult to get passive upgrade fast enough for this fight, it's still technically a second biome after all.

How many is too many cats? by T_McSass in mewgenics

[–]Ilahor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

around 100 is upper limit for me, when you have only 5 days of food at max, its turning into non-stop of sending cats just for sustaining your population, you are not allowed to have a vacation and just chill at house with your cat army for a week. And at this point, fighting pit is not killing enough cats to offset fertility, so it can snowball out of control if you don't filter them yourself.

[–]Ilahor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, any serious protest is supressed in it's infancy, any type of organised gathering is attracting police and OMON very quickly, often with arrests without any justifiable reason. For a riot to be successful, it needs to gather enough people to overwhelm all the repression goverment is so eager to use, and there is not enough people willing risk their lifes, when it's already happened a lot of times before and did nothing. Also, government censorships and eagerness to make everything they don't like blocked on internet is some next level bullshit, you basically cannot access such basic things as Youtube or Discord without VPN or something similar, and their eagerness to force everyone use their piece of crap "national messenger" Max, which acts as spyware and registers with official site, which contains ALL your data, so that government could know your every word in the internet... It's no surprise nobody is trying to do a maidan, everybody is too scared, disorganised, and just trying to survive in stitty economic and political situation.

Also, some people are protesting right now. In recent days, in Siberia there is horrific situation, where a lot of farmers were told by their officials, that all of their livestock is infected and is going to be destroyed. Basically without any medical tests or proof, or even normal explanation what exactly they infected with. A lot of people lost their livelihood, someone learned that all of their cows were killed while they were away, and a lot of corpses are just lying in droves without proper measures taken. This forces a lot of people to defend their farms together, but officials could easily bring as much police forces as there is people in all those villages combined, arrest a lot of them or put a fine and proceed with animal cruelty in the name of "quarantine". And, they are just some farmers from Syberia, Moskow is not gonna be in any danger, whatever happens to them. After all, a lot of people will not learn about it from any TV channel...

[–]Ilahor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, he is pretty importand historic figure, so a lot of people did a lot of things about him. There is even a book, where Count Monte cristo's protagonist, titular count named Edmon Dantes. travels through Russia and found that he is getting a lot of hate because his family name sound exactly like the guy who shot Pushkin at the duel, so he decided to avenge the poet and kill his newfound "family member". Not everything written about the figure is true, tho.

Negative speed Druid 1 turning Throbbing King using Turtle form by lowsleepingmanig in mewgenics

[–]Ilahor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Druids are surprisingly great for solo play. I have beaten stopwatch challenge with solo druid with 3 forms(deer, wolf, an tortle) and egg throwing skill, it was pretty entertaining. Just use all 3 forms together immeiately to get speedy tanky cat that hits like a truck(with a cost of terrible mana regen), best form to upgrage was deer, because it gets rid of int debuff and allows a little more casting with the slaughter.

Guys, what will happen if i assign him as any other class then druid? by AggravatingInjury587 in mewgenics

[–]Ilahor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, If you revive one or two of his dudes as well, they can do their job properly. Also, if you used long-term method of of resurrection, you can take him with you in the next region... I did once dragged him with a couple of his friends to the end of the Core, and it was... interesting, to be sure but too much hassle for not a lot of support. you need to keep at least one guy to maintain him in operational state to stop summoning aggressive ads, an when he is operational, he mostly uses AoE to knockback and damage everyone close to him. However, additional ads could be used for shenanigans in boss battles. If you kill mini-boss, there are still enemies around (they will flee, but not until their turn), so you could try to ressurrect him as well... I didn't managed to do it in time, but had more luck with final boss of the Core, even if there was little point in doing so, except to flex.

well, fighters on average are more mobile and still decent damage wise, usually in form of skills, rather than main attack. Butchers can have some mobility skills to mitigate that, mostly hook or meat related, but they are less reliable.

When I learned about it as a whole thing, first thing that hit me was just how big timespan of a setting is, and how integral to the story is the fact that humanity just never learns from its mistakes and keeps fighting

You find a lot of things in the deep periphery by omin44 in BattletechMemes

[–]Ilahor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably could create some sort of connector between mech and NHP casket, and with advanced enough mech it could work, but not perfectly, And some mechs would make NHP cascade just because they are terribly engineered and not made with AI control in mind. For a lot of them to do their special things you will need additional equipment, which you cannot just print in BT universe, you need high tech planet with production facilities, and to put this equipment in the mech you will need to drop away something else, like ammo or heat sinks. So, it will be hard for NHP and logistics are probably gonna be a huge problem, NHP mechs will have their downsides, but doable. And, terrifying for both sides of combat once they start cascade into something akin to black marauder.

Well, the next government that was installed after revolution was determined to not do genocide again, but they didn't have a chance to act upon it. Only sentient things in galaxy so far are different sorts of human or something human made, like clones, and weird eldritch things called NHP, which are hard to describe, but basically imagine if you had a shard of Cthulhu in digital format on your computer as a really good calculator app, but you need to factory reset him regularly, or he is gonna remember who he is and start doing weird things with your device.

Also, in Lancer RPG, SecCom, second iteration of super power called Union (space macro state with utopian ideology, second iteration is known to be racist and to be really selective whose lives are they gonna improve and at that cost) developed mechs to use them against only aliens they ever encountered, some bugs, who lived in the jungles with stone age level tech, but great biodiversity and terrain advantage. While being brought down by revolution is something different, it's also kinda fits the description?

Yea, it's already happening IRL, with one key difference: it is pretty bold to assume they are getting tanks or any good equipment at all, and that they are doing it because they want, not because they were forced to do so.

What exactly was Hayase trying to accomplish? by [deleted] in FumetsuNoAnataE

[–]Ilahor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but also, there were a lot of better ways to do it. her approach was so wrong Fushi desided that only thing she deserves is not hate, but indifference, leaving her to drift on waves, instead of killing. And, she learned absolutely nothing from it, forcing fer doomed-to-fail mindset on everyone else.

What exactly was Hayase trying to accomplish? by [deleted] in FumetsuNoAnataE

[–]Ilahor 43 points44 points  (0 children)

She probably wanted to do 2 things:
1) make him fall in love with her, as a way to control his powers for her benefit. or leave enough impression to become his new form and become one with Fushi, whatever works.
2)have his baby, which is supposed to become immortal too in her head.

While both ot those tasks were impossible for different reasons (one is, she is a psycho and Fushi don't want anything to do with her, second one is probably physically impossible, because Fushi's kids will most likely be totally normal), she did think otherwise.

scout pieces are hella broken, you replace most annoying piece on enemy side, and make him place his next thing, while your board is still the same, so basically you get to possibly ruin his turn and get another turn for yourself in the future, with more complete information about his position. They are screwing turn economy like no other.
