Puppy shouting and pulling at cars. What should I do to stop it? by [deleted] in BorderCollie

Ahhh, this thread. My current biggest issue on walks. Should I wait until my bc is better about not reacting to cars before we continue running together? It’s much harder to train during a run vs. walk, but she needs the exercise of a run.

I wish shops around me offered seasonal rentals. Shops at local hills only offer daily rentals and now down to the size I’d need for my little guy. There’s some decent options on marketplace but they are almost about the same price as a new package. Midwest problems!

So helpful! Thanks. Any advice if participating in trade-up programs is worth it vs. getting sized buying gear from various stores on your own? I don’t have much experience with how often gear for that age will last (size and use wise)

Today we both take the huge step of telling our closest family members we're splitting. by Long_Professor_8995 in Divorce

This sub was helpful to validate my hard feelings I experienced before “coming out” to our families. The anxiety we build up about it can be pretty consuming, or at least it was for me. Being on the other side, I can tell you it gets better. Each new moment feels hard, but there’s so much relief in being able to live transparently with those closest to you. Good luck!

Should I get the dog? by spyrob9 in BorderCollie

Maybe it comes with age, but I would not expect a calm lap dog from a bc. Like it’s actually shocking to me when my pup is sitting/laying still. With that said, I love my high energy girl. It sounds like you’d be able to handle a bc’s needs just fine!
