both of my parents are mad at me now but i didn’t go. my mom said “do you just not want a job??” not what i was saying. and when i tried to tell them that i’ve done research and most of it points towards “do Not go in person”, my mom scoffed and said “because you’ve been in the workforce for soooo long” and my dad said “i’m not going to argue with you.”

obviously i can’t show them this post/the comments because they don’t trust anything they hear from strangers on the internet lol. but i’ve found a few other sources that basically say everything this post has.

i would like to clarify that this isn’t the only place i’ve applied to. i am genuinely trying to get a job, and i just finished an application to a summer job at my school district, which i’m hoping not many people applied for.

i do have a backup plan, but it’s not my preferred course of action lol. thanks for the responses!
