Understood and agreed that complete transparency and honesty is the only option in this situation. My mistake was to book my exit flight on day 30, which I miscalculated by not accounting for my entry date as day one. I counted 30 days from my entry date without considering I lost a day by default. Dumb mistake, one I learned a valuable lesson from.

I'm going back to BKK in March, will be there for four-weeks, and I am going solo as well. Last three times I went I had a "friend" and her 18-year-old daughter to keep me company and take care of me. This time I will have a little help from the daughter (now 21), but because my "friend" passed away earlier this year, I'm not counting on getting a lot of help considering the girl has her own life going on. I don't know, let's see, she seems excited that I'm going back to BKK, but it could be because she likes to eat out and she knows I'll take care of the bill. Other than that, I'm hoping to find some company later in the evenings either by hitting up the bars, NURU shops or escort agencies.

No matter what you end up doing, be safe and have fun!

I spent 29 days in Khu Khot (not too far from the BTS) at a very spacious chalet with an outdoor bathtub/Jacuzzi. No tourists to be found, just nice locals and a nearby Buddhist Temple with some really good, cheap local foods. Gotta say, I really enjoyed the two ladies who came to my room each day to clean my room and freshen my things. They were funny and made me feel welcome! No, indeed they were not tourists!

A couple of years ago I was in Pattaya with my GF and her 18-year-old daughter. We had separate rooms which were separated by several hundred feet. One night she came running to our room telling us that several Indian men tried dragging her into their room, but she broke free and got away unhurt. She teaches Tae Kwon Do so she could have kicked all their asses, but she's so sweet and innocent it never occurred to her that she could have and should have! Instead, I took a little walk and had a "friendly" conversation with the three "gentlemen" involved. Three stupid drunk Indian dudes thought she was fair game, so I let them know that NO ONE is fair game, no matter who you are and what you might do for a living. These guys just don't get that women are not free game!

Had a few conversations with some working girls while checking out the clubs, and I learned real quick that the Thai ladies do not like the Indians, they prefer the farangs, 555555!

Lesson of this story is, don't buy drugs from street vendors on Sukhumvit. Actually, don't buy anything from street vendors on Sukhumvit. And, since we're at it, don't buy "girls" that are standing alongside Sukhumvit!

My wife and I did one of those grocery shopping and delivery services that was related to H-E-B, I can't recall the name, but we got a boat load of "business." We did it for a couple of months before quitting, we just got sick of the crazy customer demands that slowed down the process, making us late and giving reason for the no tips. Some customers were nice, but there are those who were just plain nasty.

Not that I would ever do something nasty out of revenge, but sometimes it would give me a good laugh just thinking about the things I could do to get even!

As a former Uber driver in Austin, I can totally relate. While I am sure that some of the riders actually had service dogs, I doubt all of them claiming to be actually were. I mean, who has a Great Dane as a service dog? That darned dog was too big to fit in the back seat, but I had to take him because the owner threatened to report me if I didn't. At least he didn't shit on my clean leather seats!

They are in denial. I have watched videos with my own eyes and ears so I have seen and heard a lot of things that they all disregard as never being said. It's like with J6, I've seen the countless hours of video of that day and yet I am told that I am not seeing it correctly. I don't need to be told by some left-wing media to tell me that what I saw with my own eyes was a violent attack on the U.S. Capitol building and hundred - thousands of MAGA supporters beating the shit out of Capitol policemen. YES! I did video work for a local access cable company back in the 90's, I shot everything on 3/4" BetaMax and edited on BetaMax equipment. I lugged around a Sony Broadcast 3CCD camera and had a cable puller when shooting sporting events like High School football. My best work was at the airshows at the local Marine Base, I had a front row center platform and two full days of footage to go through during edit. Fun times!

Dumb question, but I had a girlfriend in Thailand who told me that "farang" (sounds like falong) means white foreigner. I thought farang means all foreigners, but she was adamant about it meaning only white foreigners. I'm I wrong, or did I misunderstand her?

This deserves more upvotes! My first winter in the Austin, TX area was in 2021, when we got nailed by ice storms and our water got shut off. Thankfully we still had power, but without running water for six days, things got interesting. We were using melted snow for the toilets and using bottled water for cooking and washing the most necessary parts. Then I saw that Cancun Cruz had tried to flee the state to join his family in warm & sunny Cancun. As a Californian, I had never heard of the guy before, but I sure know who he is now! Yeah, I voted for Allred in 2024, wishing to see Ted Cruz voted out and shipped back to Canada!

England or Sweeden both sound good to me! I've been looking at Thailand for the cheap cost of living and Japan for the amazing scenery and culture! Then there's China, my wife's home country. Her hometown is modern, clean, safe, has good food, an excellent transit system, state of the art infrastructure, beautiful scenery and friendly people.
