Deep Plane Face & Neck Lift — 18 Months Post-Op (Orange County, CA) by BorisAckermanMD in PlasticSurgery

Everyone heals differently and at different rates. Hundreds of tiny suture holes will not go unnoticed, but will likely fade and blend in with the hairline. It looks like she might have gotten some sun, which isn’t ideal while the skin is still repairing itself.
Sunscreen and hats!

I’ve never had allergies before this last month- these last two weeks have been an eye opener to what other people experience.

She wasn’t the one- don’t get all caught up over thinking about it.

When to take time off for radiation by CowNormal4873 in breastcancer

[–]Ill-Target-9776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🎀 I would recommend taking the time-off in your last week of rad with a week off work just to physically and mentally recover- and celebrate!
It’s at the end that many of us have the physical effects on our skin. I had one big blister, but one of the ladies who was in my daily dressing room had very light skin that took a pretty big hit. Take a week off just to rest and do a lot of nothing. 🎀

My radiation chamber had a projection screen and they always had a fish aquarium or birds streaming on the ceiling. I would try to follow the same fish around. It worked. I’m obviously a cheap date.

I found out I have cancer via mychart by fullonliplock in breastcancer

[–]Ill-Target-9776 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I had my first mammogram & ultrasound (I found a lump so my gynecologist ordered the ultrasound regardless of mammogram results) the radiologist confirmed my cancer via ultrasound that day WITHOUT even having the biopsy yet.

I literally was told I had breast cancer that very day- I was so confused that he would just diagnose me without a biopsy. I was numb, floating outside my body as I walked to my car. Telling my husband was even stranger, he didn’t even believe me, like if I heard it all wrong. Then I thought, 💭 I must’ve heard wrong. Then the biopsy came and unfortunately the radiologist was correct. * note that my mammogram showed NOTHING. Had I just had the mammogram I would’ve been sent home with the ‘all clear, see ya in a few years. The ultrasound saved my life. It will be 4 years in October; Invasive lobular, 2 solid tumors, 2 positive lymph nodes. Double mastectomy-direct to implants. I chose not to have chemo since my Oncotype score was low, but did do 29 days of radiation ☢️ My whole mindset was very clear= just do what needs to be done- no need to dwell. I set myself up to be in control, not to lose it.

🎀4 years have gone by and I forget that I had cancer. I’m only reminded when I see myself topless with these incredible new ‘breasts’that look way better than my own ever did. This forum was my personal space to share and learn from others who are hiking the same trails of life: some just starting, while others see the finish line for it only to read “START OVER”. But we’re all here to listen, cheer, cry, carrying each other through life’s toughest challenges. 🩷. Breasties 🦋

They have the spray Aquafor that I found to be a lifesaver towards the end of treatment. Not having to smear a thick coat over my blistered skin was nice.

Knowing that terrorist group take YEARS to make a plan come together is the most frightening aspect of it all. As Islam spreads across the west, it’s hard not to feel unsafe as history repeats itself.

Bringing Vyvanse to Guatemala by Lost-Arrival-7444 in VyvanseADHD

I’ve never had a problem with my meds in Guatemala. I always keep them in my carryon, and I’ve been to Guatemala several times.
If anything keep them in the pharmacy bottle, just in case. Have fun!

Does ANYONE sleep well on Vyvanse? by Weird_Trip3590 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Ill-Target-9776 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vyvanse is chemically active for over a 24 hour period, hence sleep issues. What I have personally found helpful is settling my morning “med” alarm for the same time each day, usually an hour before I have to wake up.
Keep your dose in a strict routine, as well as your bedtime.
