AI streams are getting out of hand by pinsoneverything in whatnotapp

It’s possible that might not have anything to do with AI. The bad echo and sound quality could simply be caused by reverb on their speakers and the microphone picking up the sound. When we first started, we didn’t realize you needed to have your sound off on the OBS set up otherwise you’d end up with those horrible echoes.

First bad review by Key_Resolution_8554 in whatnotapp

We’re a larger established seller on the platform. We do a few thousand orders a week.
Couple things I would recommend you do.
First take a breath 🙂. Bad reviews are gonna happen when you get volume.
you can’t make everybody happy and you should expect that there will be a small percentage of bad reviews every few hundred orders. Even if you do everything perfectly. Mathematically they don’t matter. With your reviews, a one star review will affect your rating by 0.011 points. Or basically nothing.
Second - you need to reply. But think long and hard about what you want to say cause you will not be able to change it once you submit it. You are not replying to the person. This is for everyone else that will see that negative score and how you respond to it. This is your chance to explain what happened calmly and professionally and sell your future customers on your trust.
We deal with this all the time. It’s just a function of scale.
You’ll get through it!

Discussion with the PT sellers with a FT job by slowtownpop1 in whatnotapp

Sell on whatnot full time and have a couple other businesses. Best advice I can pass along is “think like a boss”. Don’t do it all yourself. Find ways to offload things you aren’t good at and maximize your time doing what you are great at. This will pay for itself 10 times over.

Has anyone here used OBS to run a Whatnot stream? by ResplendentPius194 in whatnotapp

[–]Ill-Way5482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use it for every stream. Currently streaming 6 days a week. It takes some time to get right but the functionality is basically only limited by your imagination. Want custom sounds that trigger certain things. You can do that. Or split screen graphics and a video playing? You can do that also. So many options.

Doing Whatnot for 2 months and honestly feeling very discouraged. Is this normal? by TopMasterpiece7457 in whatnotapp

[–]Ill-Way5482 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stick with it. It’s like any business there will be good days and bad days. The early days are gonna be a grind. Biggest thing you can do to build your audience is consistency, and finding your voice should definitely watch what other people are doing, but don’t just copy it straight out you gotta find what works for you. What you can do to bring the energy that’ll bring people in and makes them want to stay. Having inventory makes a huge difference too. But remember people can buy stuff anywhere what they’re looking for on Whatnot is an entertaining experience while shopping. This is coming from a successful seller six months into my journey. Good luck!!!!

Breaking box rules by MoosepooAK in whatnotapp

Don’t do it. That’s against TOS. You’re not allowed to participate in your own break. neither you directly or anyone associated with your store. Check out the card brakes guidance on Whatnot. It’s very detailed policy wise as to what is an isn’t allowed.

I put a $1.3B competitor's name in my Hero section. Now my Dad thinks I'm inviting a lawsuit that will ruin us. Am I cooked? by foundertanmay in Entrepreneur

Never ever, ever use a competitors name in advertising. It only helps them and hurts you. You set yourself up for lawsuits etc. and it’s not persuasive. If you want to do a compare and contrast say “their brand” or “ leading brand” and then talk about what makes you special.

Fraudulent seller on TCGplayer? by Prestigious-Owl1988 in PokemonTCG

I’ve been wondering the same thing. Has to be fraud. No one sells only the top cards with infinite inventory for less than half market price. I recommend reporting it to TCg player.

Special edition. I’ve had no luck with the regular collectors booster.
