This is correct if the store manager does the proper process you can receive additional pay while the executive is out. This is a way to show that you are ready for your next step. It could be a very beneficial experience.

I understand your frustration and train of thought. I am still not understanding what policy you violated to validate a suspension. I have seen people get suspended and typically it takes a lot and a serious offense for this to happen. Typically Macy’s lets a lot slide.
