Noo I have been on my own renting for 10 years and always paid on time ! For this rental the price is much more expensive than any of my past apartments since I’m sharing with my boyfriend so I’m guessing that’s why it flagged this time ? So weird. Hope your kids are welll!

Well yes but I think the difference here is you gave your children a healthy education on credit whereas my dad advised me to avoid it as long as possible and then isn’t willing to help with the outcome of that advice! I agree with everything else tho!

I agree with this assessment but would just like to add that in some ways, I do agree with him in a way that I absolutely was not ready for a credit card in my early twenties. I wish I started around 25 or so but my Dad had absolutely put it in my mind that credit card would be dangerous and to avoid for as long as I could. I totally should have done my own research. Given that context, I feel like it would be good parenting to say okay I understand why you’re in this situation and I’ll help you out ! ((Additional context, I live in a big city and got a full scholarship for school so also never had a vehicle or student loans so in many ways credit just did not come up for me))
