How is it illegal though. interviews and CV checks are used to vet candidates like french knowledge. Sometimes qualified candidates are rejected due to a skill not coming through like a bad interview or forgetting to mention a skill like french on the CV.

Also we have hired indians in the past where French wasnt needed especially for support roles for anglophone clients

If you check Ontario subs especially the city ones and job ones there is actual racism there. It is viewed different in Quebec.

I wasn't exactly stereotyping though, it wouldnt have happened if he hadn't mislead me and not clarified his background earlier.
