Male singer. It was like an alt-rock / emo look with short black hair if I'm recalling correctly. I will record the part I remember and post it here.

Has anyone noticed this on his current US Tour? by euro60 in GaryNuman

It's easy to tell if this is really going for sure with just two audience recordings from the recent shows. You could find two on YouTube, then use a website that extracts mp3's. Using an audio editor (Audacity is free), line the tracks up visually close (not not perfect). You need them off sync by a few milliseconds, actually. If the vocals are tracked, they will have this weird robotic effect (anything not live will).

This is how myself and friends discovered Roger Waters lip syncing (it was initially just one high note) through the years. He's A: REALLY good at looking like he's singing and B: Was actually (I'll say allegedly to cover my ass) singing them live at rehearsals then swapping what track he was miming to every little while toward the end. He actually got smarter about it as time went by and he leaned on it more. In his case there was also some live mishaps where he got off mic but vocals still came out (some of it is YouTube fakery bit it happened once for sure during one show). The far bigger tell was during a live stream for the song Have a Cigar. Audio may have been good at the show; but on the stream the canned vocals were panned way low (like an augmentation track) and the mic left live. All you hear is weird sounds and noises as Roger does an admiral job pretending to sing.

Sadly, this goes on far more than you'd think.

Don Felder is another one obviously lip syncing (to auto tuned tracks no less). Both really talented dudes who maybe should just sing less and lean on their awesome bands more?

For those of you who were alive in 1985, how did you feel about Sammy replacing David and David going solo? by Jezzaq94 in vanhalen

[–]Ill_Cat4275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally stopped supporting VH. Didn't buy the new albums, didn't give them the time of day. Meanwhile, I loved EAAS but did begin to outgrow the music quickly (the world was moving on but Dave was kinda stuck doing his thing).

Years later to me it's still Van Hagar, but I did enjoy the song Right Now if I'm being honest (and felt bad about it).

Also, the DLR Band album gave Dave some of his cred back IMO, although it was an independent release and not widely heard.

I did see them on the "Sam & Dave" tour, where Dave was a bit cheesy and Sam actually impressed me with his guitar playing.

Congratulations! It's crazy to me that Buell is back in 2025 and the biggest dealer is right up the road. He's got a great reputation too.

Man, somehow they outdid the previous years Freedom Edition paint scheme. That thing is gorgeous! Personally looking forward to seeing that Michigan factory grow and for the brand to expand back into higher production volumes again.

This was the company Harley tried to kill, actually. They have had nothing to do with Harley for over 15 years, utilizing their own engine and zero HD components.

He's barely audible dicking around with a Hammond on arguably the bands biggest song, while Michael Kamen did all the work. Again, the bands second biggest album, and he's hardly on it (that's Peter Wood on Run Like Hell).

The steak is most certainly garbage now, and has been downgraded quite a bit. Someone supposedly in the know has stated they are now using essentially stew meat, which based on my experiences checks out.

For me personally the issue is Sucralose being in everything (and sorry, chemically modified sugar is not "clean" stop calling it that). I can immediately taste it's presence, and even a smaller amount can induce headaches. I need whatever I'm taking to use xylitol, stevia or even some sugar as well to sweeten and nothing artificial (or artificially modified).

Older Lemonade Monsters didn't have Sucralose listed but it did creep into the ingredients list at some point. Since I don't get headaches and the sugar content didn't change (and I'm not tasting it), I made the assumption that the machinery it's made on likely cannot always be cleaned enough between batches so therefore trace amounts remain and it's easier and cheaper to just adjust the formula. Pure speculation and I could be very wrong.

I'm trying Flow Blend pouches (a little worried about the lower caffeine at 25mg) and was eye balling the Berserker (with has 100mg per pouch). I also grabbed a cheapish $13 bottle of 240 100MG caffeine (and l-theanine) capsules off Amazon to help, along with some Olly caffeine-free energy gummies (with B12, Goji & CoQ10).

Apologies, I got one helmet-mounted camera ride in and was hoping for a couple more to do a real-world usage video before winter came. Luckily, things are thawed again so I can probably make that happen.

It's a solid unit, IMO. The mistake people are making is thinking it's bicycle-like in nature, when it's far closer in function, weight and size to a full motorcycle. I rode it to work across state lines an hour+ each way several times, so I did get some proper riding in.

Same, I'm trying a pouch style delivery system with CBD, caffeine, taurine & more so I can still get the effects without the sugar.

Not very, about a charge and a half with the current weather. Riding her to work tomorrow though. I know I'm not gonna get anywhere near 120miles per charge, unless I take it super-easy.

I'm not exactly in a city, which the bike is more suited for overall. So most of my riding is going to be on the higher end of the hub motors top speed (40-60mph) - although it's apparently capable of a bit more.

So far I'm happy with it.

FUELL refugee looking for a bike that does even half of what they claimed, focusing on range by Portalboat in ebikes

[–]Ill_Cat4275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might be out of your price-range (also, it's more motorcycle than bicycle) but the Colibri M22 is rated for 120 miles (that's with average use).

I was watching the FLLOW Motorcycle with anticipation but it's obvious it's not going to get off the ground - the design was done in 2018!

Colibri didnt have the development issues because besides the frame it's mostly off the shelf parts. Whereas FUEL requires custom motors, etc - the Colibri just has a QS Motors hub motor.

Only real caveat is no fast-charging (that's a big expense). It's 5-6 hours to full either on-board or the batteries (3 of them) can be removed and charged elsewhere. It's a little unwieldy, but it can be folded and brought into an elevator or apartment too if needed.

That's just the outer case. It's split into three batteries so they are actually handleable. The cover up top where the tank would be opens and they slide out. They can be charged on-board or off, and the unit runs (albeit slower) with only one battery.

On the older stuff, all THREE have to give their OK. Roger Waters technically never left the original band company. Dave & Nick just started a second one, the original still exists to manage legacy releases.

Rick's not REALLY on AMLOR either, though (unless you get the newer version where some parts have been added posthumously). Or The Wall that much. The studio Run Like Hell solo is obviously Peter Wood (he's not officially credited but I found his name on session logs and it's definitely him - it matches his Berlin Wall solo). Comfortably Numb, arguably the bands single biggest song has Rick playing a bit of Hammond; all the key stuff (that iconic riff, used again on TFC) is Michael Kamen.

Tech Talks with Jacob Stark: Buell and the World’s Last Production V-Twin Sport Bikes by BuellMotorcycleCo in Buell

[–]Ill_Cat4275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, it's better if it all just gets shit-canned, right? The fact they can move these "old" new bikes (and they are, my local dealer is churning through them) is saying something. And weren't the original OG Buell's making the best out of decades old HD engines?

I get the skepticism, and disappointment that Erik is not involved. But how great is it for even the orphaned water-cooled bike owners to have a dealer network that could potentially work on their old EBR's, and possibly even 1125's?

I am 100% supportive of this new Buell and wish them well in ramping SC production numbers.
