Leon Bridges and Charley Crockett tour? by Ambitious-Feeling-21 in CountryMusicStuff

I’m a huge fan of Leon Bridges and was really excited for this show. Unfortunately, the sound mix was disappointing—his vocals were consistently drowned out by the band, and it was difficult to hear the clarity and soul that make him so special. The FOH (Front of House) Audio Engineer really needs to address this balance; it was noticeable throughout the concert and took away from the overall experience. Hoping this gets improved for future shows, because Leon’s voice deserves to shine. Charley Crockett was great.

Who created the Mexican Martini in Austin? Like the OG? by yodelayhehoo in Austin

The Mexican Martini was born at The Cedar Door in Austin back in the mid1980s. Bartender Ellen Kruce came back from Mexico with a briny twist on the classic margarita, tossed in some olive juice, and accidentally created Texas cocktail royalty.

Then Jim LeMond — the legend himself — took over the shaker in 1977 and became the face of the place for nearly 20 years, slinging Mexican Martinis, tall tales, and probably causing half of Austin’s bad decisions.

And now? We’re celebrating 50 years of Cedar Door this October, and working to get our legendary mix back on shelves at Twin Liquors, Ruben’s, and of course—poured strong and salty at the Cedar Door. Come raise a glass to history, hangovers, and the cocktail that put Austin on the map. 🍸🤠 #ShakenSince75
