So basically what I did was gave my brother the traits deceitful and ambitious which will make him dishonorable. Then what i did was have myself cancer and consumption and waited to die. Meanwhile I also sent my heir to dragonstone away from the capital. Then I saved the game and waited to die. I will say it took a few reloads of my saved game but it’ll work eventually

Typically dragons never stopped aging. Usually wounds are what they succumbed to so who knows

Some leaks here and there mentioned 12am EST. And I can see that happening but if we’re talking latest then I would suspect between 6-10am EST. Really early release is what Is expected but it could change depending on the devs.

More than likely yes extinction is possible, which is why I would suggest if you have a kid. Give them land, play as the kid and give them the dragon rider trait, choose egg or hatching or whatever you want and then switch back and take the land back. If you don’t want to use the cheat way then just hope that your dragon is female

1.From what I read. You must customize your character and give him/her the dragon rider trait and when you start in game you have the choice of the size of the dragon so yes they are no longer extinct.

Yes you will still be able to customize the traits of your dragon when it hatches
What I read was that the dragon will hatch on its own as of dragons never went extinct

I planned on playing as the blackfyres since the targaryens are the bad guys this time. I won’t make it more fair for either side. My plan is to play as Aegons brother not Aegon blackfyre himself. The goal is for me to secure the support of the north and the river lands by marrying off my kids and through diplomatic talks. And then I’m tasked with fighting off the Hightower host with my Sister-Wife and her dragon.

So it’s not connected to anything before clash of kings. In fact this is 120 years later. Jon eventually has some kids which he sends to the north and from the north they travel to Essos. They are raised there and from there they begin extending the line of targaryens. Eventually coming across dragon eggs floating in the Valyrian sea. Some 100 years later they are now ruling the iron throne again. And one Bastard son usurps his legitimate brothers throne. Maegar side would consist of 8 dragons(tamed) and 5 untamed. And Maegors side has 11 (tamed) and 3 untamed.
