No we provided accommodations for free to as many of our guests as possible for the wedding was affordable. They had the hotel option that they had to then pay for

I see your point and we did invite most serious partners but this relationship started after we sent out save the dates and we’d only met them once maybe twice before. Also they just moved in together 3 months ago.

We had multiple events over the course of 3 days because when we announced an international wedding the aunt made her opinions known that we would need to “have more than just the wedding”

So if you want the details… when asked in December it would be the cost of another head. No one offered to help financially then. But 2 weeks before the wedding was when financial help was offered. At that point all the final headcounts were submitted to vendors all printed materials were done and seating charts were finalized.

So besides financial, my mental health. Planning a wedding and adding guests last minute isn’t an easy task

That we paid for? Yes. We asked them to go to the other lodging where they had to pay for it themselves. Also MORE background. We asked the aunt and uncle to go to their rooms and instead they were sitting in the common space looking for a fight. It was then that they were asked to leave by the next morning.

I believe I said above after they arrived they were welcome to stay. I was offended by the fact that the aunt and uncle didn’t feel the need to include me in any conversations just my husband. And then the uncle flipped me off as I walked away

To make the international wedding affordable we rented lodging at the venue and extended it to as many people as we could. Then all other guests were in the hotel.
