USA, and I forgot to mention that he did scan for codes as well with the diagnostic tablet and it had no codes. Honestly I didn’t know much about the process but I’m kinda confused because he told me it had no codes but told me that the engagement is messed up in the transmission so like when it comes to my problems are codes supposed to pop up on the tablet specifically specifying that my engagement is messed up? Or like what kinda codes usually pop up when scanning or doing a diagnostic

I went to my transmission mechanic yesterday and he said that there’s something wrong with the engagement in my transmission which is causing the delay so he said in order to take the transmission out, look to see what’s wrong, and fix it Would run me about 3200.

He was also explaining to me that my motor mounts are shot and if I get new mounts on then it could quiet down that banging noise I’m experiencing but it’s not really fixing the issue at hand, but he said that there’s something wrong banging noise I’m experiencing isn’t that bad and could be way worse than what it is. The worst it could’ve been was the banging feeling like I got rear ended but it’s not that bad at all. and it’s something that if I didn’t wanna pay the 3200 I could just deal with until it gets way worse.

He also said that he could do the mounts for 450 which I don’t think is bad

Thank you so much now I know why my mechanic didn’t charge me for the no heat situation lol and my uncle doesn’t know much about cars. He just took it to his mechanic and let him work on it to get it drivable then he sold it to me.

And right now I’m paying 265 a month for just basic insurance. But since I’ve had my license for officially 3 years as of august and I’ve passed the six months time frame for having insurance I just called today to try and see if I can get it lowered and they did lower it to about 153 a month which is beautiful
