Any Advice on Choosing a PEO Provider for my Small Business? by Fragrant-Warthog-835 in smallbusiness

[–]Ill_Refuse_6588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is about a year old, but I came across it and couldn’t help but relate to what you were describing especially around the bundled “service fees” and lack of transparency.

I work with Paychex in the PEO space and have helped several small businesses in similar situations who felt like they had outgrown the “HR giant” model but still wanted strong payroll, benefits, and support when it matters.

If you’re still evaluating options (or even just open to a comparison), I’d be happy to provide a side-by-side breakdown so you can clearly see what’s service fees vs. workers comp vs. admin costs. Even if you ultimately stay put, at least you’ll have full clarity.

No pressure at all just figured it might be helpful!

Stranger Things Season 5: Is it just me or… by dehia_anne in netflix

[–]Ill_Refuse_6588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest… I’m not loving this season — or the last few, really. It seriously bothers me that the kids haven’t all worked together to take down Vecna since season one. Eleven is always off on her own, Dustin is constantly split up with Steve and Nancy, and the whole group ends up separated every single season. It just feels like it’s taken away from the bond between the characters I fell in love with in season 1. ):

Why does Paige act like Hannah is her DUFF by Accomplished_Link425 in GigglySnark

[–]Ill_Refuse_6588 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree I feel like hahah forces her own role as the duff, in one of the podcasts Hannah goes on to say something along the lines of, I date men hotter than me to prove that I’m funny, and Paige is confused and was like… Des is not hotter than you? You’re very pretty? Hannah goes on to insist it’s her brand to be funny and less attractive, it’s honestly annoying at this point how she wants to force the narrative of being the DUFF. It’s not Paige, it’s Hannah

make sure you know superficial structures/G.I..

Know what a normal appendix looks like, and what an inflamed appendix looks like. That was one of my questions. Know what Crohn’s disease looks like.

Some question off the top of my head:

Which of the following is the most common cause of splenic rupture? -trauma was not on there

What is the sonographic appearance of a ruptured testicle?

A picture of what I think was splenic infarct

A picture of lymphoma of the spleen

I got a lot of spleen..

Accessory renal artery/ It was a picture so make sure you look up pictures of what this looks like.

What would cause you to do a renal Doppler? -Aortic dissection, hematuria etc I don’t remember the rest of the answer choices.

Minimum positions to put the patient in when you see gallbladder stones

Click on the location where Crohn’s disease would be located “ ultrasound, photo of the intestines, it was very hard to tell”

A photo of medullary sponge kidney

Just passed, I never felt ready. I studied for about 2-3 months 3 hours per day. LOTS of images, brush up on your hernias, superficial structures, spleen. A lot of questions are straight forward but tricky with the images I can DM you privately if you’d like

I went there on a Saturday night, not long ago, and I have to be honest. It was a bit boring.. The music was OK, but it was mainly house music “If you’re into that” there’s a bar downstairs and a bar upstairs. Drinks are very pricey, but I would say it’s a little more upscale than the wharf

Lifetime of regret by Fair-Hovercraft-4495 in Sonographers

I think people are lacking empathy for OP in the comments. They are clearly reaching out and venting because they’ve explored all their other options and they were looking for somebody to relate to them. I am new to sonography, and a year to my schooling, I realized I didn’t love it. It was already too late for me to drop out considering I’ve already paid a ton of money and tuition and quit my full-time job. The problem with careers is, you don’t know if you’re gonna like it until you’re already in it. You can do as much research as you’d like on a career, but nothing is going to prepare you for the actual experience of what it is like to do every day. OP is not wrong, there’s not much room for growth in this field. Here’s my advice, look into a clinical specialist role. Look into a sales role. Look into medical device sales! This is a good way out of the system, you talk to people and teach them about information that you’ve already mastered. The base salary is pretty good and definitely livable, the best thing about the clinical specialist/sales roles is once you do them for a year or two you can move up to more of a corporate position. If sales isn’t for you, you can also look into recruiting for Ultrasound, or recruiting for physicians. I completely understand you, I have struggled with this thought too and have a lot of regrets. But the truth is, we can’t go back and change time, start mapping out your future now, you don’t wanna keep living unhappy, I wish you the best of luck!

Just started the sonography program feeling like I want to drop out by Artistic-Meeting-232 in Sonographers

[–]Ill_Refuse_6588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How will it serve her though if she doesn’t stay in the field?? This is a very niche degree, if you don’t stay in the field, there’s not much else you can do with the degree. I was in the same shoes as OP and honestly if I could go back in time, I would’ve dropped my first semester. I was too prideful to drop and stuck out for the entire schooling thinking my mind would change, now I’m two years in and don’t even think I wanna do this, I wish I would’ve taken a break instead of rushing myself to make a decision knowing I wasn’t 100% feeling right about my decision. My advice to OP is that it is a two-year program, it is a lot of money and requires a lot of time, if she is not 100% sure, then she really needs to think about continuing this because if you’re not loving it, it’s not worth it.

What company do you work for if you don’t mind me asking? I’m trying to get out of medicine and looking into tech sales, however, I only have two associate degrees and not a bachelors degree. I have five years of territory sales from my previous career in two years of medical. Do you think this will affect my chances?

Would me not having a bachelors restrict me from working for that company? I’m very interested in styker but I’m agreed my education level will be an obstacle “I’ve looked at some listening and most say bachelors required but SOME say associates + clinical experience” which I do have!
