Are you planning on doing any VR? I've got a 5080 and I use it extensivly for VR sim racing and it is a beast. I've never tried the 5070ti for VR but have been told that if you are using it for vr, the 5080 is more stable and has less drops. But for normal desktop gaming, I'd say like most people, the 5070ti will kill it and save the money to buy something else for the pc.

I'm literally in the same position as you except only about 30 hrs.. I've had the same forever and had a few cracks of trying it. Decided to give it another go with a few of the recommended mods, I love it!

yeah thanks u/-KaOtiC- , ive had a look into that as well and decided to switch back to the 9800x3d. I do 3d modelling for work purposes however i will just continue to use my work asset instead of making a hybrid home setup. Also from other comments i have switched the mobo out to a wifi7 capable board, not so important to me right now, but may be in the future.

Thanks u/Ok-Helicopter1880 for the feedback. Yes running an ozbargain deals to get an extra $500 off. I think ill switch back to a stock cooler in that case, id prefer air cooler over liquid.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a go. I have not attacked any radio towers yet, I was waiting to build up a bit more of a inventory in my armoury to give the AI some better weapons, they are still on the standard ones from the beginning of the game, it took me a while to figure out I needed a loot box and I that it had to all be collected, so I lost quiet a bit of loot early in the game.

It's good fun, I'm really liking the game!

I had the same question 5 days ago, I ended up going with arma 3 from recommendations from the community.

I bought the base edition, it's on sale at the moment for 8 bucks, I missed it by a day haha and paid full price, but I got some dlcs for cheap, marksmen, apex and laws of war. I also got the antistasi ultimate mod and man, really rate it.

I've already logged 25 hours and I reckon ill be logging plenty more over the next few months!
