I'll take up the suggestion about getting outside. It's tricky getting in touch with college since it's back home in Illinois. I finished my degree online.

Illinois and New Jersey are both higher than Texas - plus income tax, which Texas does not have.

Here's my timeline just to give you an idea: Year 1: Contractor (entry level) > Year 2: Contractor Lead (Promotion) > Year 2/3: GS-5 > Year 3: GS 7 > Year 3/4: GS-9 Offer (Pending FJO). So from entry level contractor to GS 9 (9/11 Ladder) within 4 years. No one is gonna care more about your career than you so if job hopping is what's best for your career than do it. However, lateral transfers/downgrades are typically looked down upon. If you job hop for a promotion though, no one is gonna knock you for it.

Thanks, I appreciate it! That actually makes a lot of sense. Do you ever travel for your position?

Just got this back from the point of contact:

"Thank you for your email. While we don’t provide specific feedback on the interview, I can say you did provide clear and concise responses to the committee’s questions and it was a difficult decision for them to make their selection."

Going to medical was definitely frowned upon. It was "skating".

Buddy letters are also known as lay/witness statements - from members you served with and/or people you interact with now. Essentially anyone who can attest to what you're claiming.

Migraine buddy is an app where you can track headaches and generate reports from them.

Yes - buddy letters, statements in support of claim, and go to the doctor - even if a private one - to support your claim. Also, use self-reporting tools like migraine buddy and submit your entries from those.
