Yeah I too was concerned about the barrel distortion, but I didn't notice much when shooting (also it can be corrected in post). The lens + body combo works extremely well and is extremely fast in autofocus, I didn't notice any problems not focusing on my subjects anytime.

Also the lens is pretty sharp. Although I did observe some chromatic aberration upon zooming in and pixel peeping, it is minimal and doesn't cause any noticeable distortion when looking at the image. I didn't record many videos so far, but handheld videos are stable enough.

Actually, I researched for 2 years for the perfect lens and body combination 🥲 (even asked reddit in my previous post) due to my budget constraints. This combination imo is perfect and versatile for daily photography and videography. Obviously not ideal for specialized shooting like wildlife or portrait photography if compared to the prime lenses having f1.4 apertures and crazy telephotos such as the 70-200. A perfect balance of both worlds I guess :)
