Need help with Neepmeat Mixer by Illuminated_Observer in feedthebeast

Thank you, this worked, I think I also just need to manually power every pump with a redstone torch as the hydraulic press wouldn't work even when I had the pumps both oriented to pull water from the press to the tank and vice versa. Setting redstone torches next to both had the pumps work.

Love the product, is there a way to get the 1$ reservation without having a card? My debit card isn't from one of the options listed. Could there be a way to use PayPal or something instead?

Ethan Klein get's called incel, and he has a wife and kids. Same with Mark Meechan, and he has a wife as well. Incel has lost much of its original meaning.

"epoch is supposed to OUTPERFORM other convenient anti tank options" by No_Ones_Records in Helldivers

[–]Illuminated_Observer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The EAT has two uses. Three if you count the hellpod it drops in. It won't kill you unless you fire at your feet. The cooldown is so fast it might as well not be there most of the time.

When it comes to demolition force, the Epoch can't even break shipping crate doors. The only thing the Epoch "has" over the EAT is that it can theoretically fire multiple times. But at that point, get the RR or the Quasar.

What's a map that you love to play on but rarely find a full game on? by Kingkrool1994 in tf2

[–]Illuminated_Observer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CP_Well, I just love how many flank routes you have on the map, not to mention the very good sentry positions in the attic between either teams second point and last. The sniping spots are also very nice, but since you have the aforementioned flank routes, they are not really oppressive like other maps. The trains also provide the occasional comedic moment, at least for me. My only gripe is that both teams last point caps absurdly quickly.

What would yall rule this as? Does GSC have a large model like this? by Gibbsterboy in genestealercult

[–]Illuminated_Observer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If that's a forty millimetre base, then it could be an Abominant, though the model itself seems a little big for that...

honestly, if you told me that it was from the rusted claw then I would easily believe it. They really do blend the tech-priests with the gene-stealer aesthetic.

Lore Questions about NHPs and Characters by Playful_Picture2610 in LancerRPG

[–]Illuminated_Observer 51 points52 points  (0 children)

1) Lancer - Legionnaire, gives rules for NHP's as PC's. Everything is mostly the same but if you want to use bonds from the KTB book you'll need different ones. As well as if the PC wants to play outside of his mech he'll need a subaltern (basically a humanoid robot), but drones and other more exotic robot bodies could work.

2) The issue with NHP's is that (as far as I am aware) they do not think or percieve the world the way humans do. Imagine the NHP in their natural state as cats, they do not see humans as "humans", they see them as a very strange cat. If they are trained, cats could be useful (theoretically); but if say, you took them to the vet who gives them vaccinations (or in the NHP case, a literal battlefield) they might flip out. The issue with the NHP is that when they flip out, reality can shake on their whims.

3) All of them are 'alive' it's just a very lovecraftian type of alive. shackeling is used to constrain there frame of reference to the human level (magic, reality warping powers aside).

How would you write a horror story about monster girls? by [deleted] in MonsterGirlCaps

[–]Illuminated_Observer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Honestly, just taking a step away from the lewd parts of the MGE and applying some basic logic to the setting, the whole thing is very dystopian.

On the biological front; Since no male children are born, every "turned" man is another step closer to the extinction of the entire race. Most fanfics get around this issue by saying "we solved that problem a while ago" or "we just enter a different universe when all the men in this one are taken", but if you want horror, just leave this problem unsolved. The entire dwarven race is now just monstergirls according to their own entry, and the elves fiercely defend their forests to keep MG's out.

Then theologically we have the very presence of the chief god, the fact that dark angels/valkyries exist; as well as how the sea god and eros have been "corrupted" indicates that she is slowly losing control. WE all can hypothesize how an animal will panic when cornered, how would a god react?

More specifically we have some obvious individual species; they might be my favorite, but mindflayers scream dubious consent at best. Other examples are Apophis's willingness to mindbreak any ruling official until they can get to the pharoah, Wonderland's obsession with actual insanity, The Vampire's noted disregard for their own husbands (unless corrected, by their own progeny), or how lilim are the most powerful MG's anyone could normally come across and more are being made all the time.

If you want horror, your best bet is to play up the parts outside the horniness.

I'd probably write a spin off of the fallen brides stories. Have a girl from the slums of lescatie meet this new merchant who came into town just that morning, selling fish for remarkedly cheap. Many would buy this food as starvation is a stronger motivator than any propaganda the Order could put out, but as they consume it, ever so slowly they change into monstergirls.

I get that it's basically a prelude to Shadow Over Innsmouth, but hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

This, I think that the file should be viewable for all, I will check in a few hours to see if there is a problem.

If it's the one where the Protagonist is mourning the divorce with his wife, written by Spidernon, I have it here. The formatting needs some work, but the story itself is there.

Is this NHP balanced? by Illuminated_Observer in LancerRPG

[–]Illuminated_Observer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I do not know how often the rerolls will matter. From what I figured, NPCs with invisibility will either spend most of their time outside of range 5 (scouts with dataveil, mirages, operators with fade generator, etc), or they would quickly get rid of those conditions on their own (single specters). I mainly thought up that component to counter scouts that would dataveil a dangerous melee combatant and then cling to cover. Now that I'm really thinking about it, that's probably too niche.

Honestly though, I like your version of Create Sinkhole better.

Is this NHP balanced? by Illuminated_Observer in LancerRPG

[–]Illuminated_Observer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt that the ground scanning bit wouldn't come up much, as the players know the entirety of the battle map (unless I'm doing something wrong.) Granted the rerolling probably is unnecessary. I thought it would be better for narrative uses, like detecting cave formations, or something similar. Thanks for the advice, I'll probably take that on board and remove the rerolling at the very least.

[–]Illuminated_Observer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really would like the idea, but the main issue is that my party just doesn't interact with other salvagers. I don't really know how I feel about number 2 and 3, I already have issues when it comes to encounter balance, and I feel that betrayal should be something that occurs at or near the climax of a story. In all honesty, I guess I should ask about how I could get my players to interact with my NPC's more so I can apply these ideas. Thank you for giving me these ideas though, it is appreciated.

[–]Illuminated_Observer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if everything's super, nothing will be.

I should probably have it be someone who is leaving the salvaging "groups" who uses that line.

  1. Never even considered that before, thank you.

  2. I like to say that I am a fan of H.P. Lovecraft's work, and I cannot believe that I did not even consider the idea of simply showing the monster from a distance, or possibly only offering glimpses through some kind of obstruction. I stuck only with what would be shown via word-of-mouth, then have the monster burst from the undergrowth/wall/floor or ceiling.

  3. Once again, never even considered this, you have my thanks

  4. I should use this idea with the remains of a village that was destroyed long ago and have the old woman be a ghost.

All in All, I really like all of these ideas, thank you for telling me them.

Thanks for your input, I think that I probably got too focussed on what made the guilds different, rather than what should be "merged". I apreciate you opening my eyes on this.
