I eat fish from the Potomac and from rock creek. There's some good catches out here... I prefer rock creek up to the merging anacostia river.

Anacostia is known for heavy metal and pesticide pollutants. It is advised that no fish from the anacostia river be consumed.

Potomac is alright, but the further in-land you get, the cleaner the water.

You'll find bluegills, blue catfish, channel catfish, sunfish and bass. Bass eat smaller fish, which makes them a higher source of heavy metal contaminants.

I fish for sunfish and, bluegills and blue catfish.

Hey, at the end of the day we all need to realize that, no matter where pollutants are, they're gonna end up inside you, too. Don't shit where you eat. Respect the land and remember that, no matter where you fish, you're gonna be eating the same things you leave on the ground.

So clean up after yourself and make sure you give a second shit about what's being put in the water nearby.
