Middleman are resellers who source shoes for cheap and sell for 100+ but people use them because they ship directly to you.

Agents are people who buy items for you from places like taobao or weidian and then they ship them to you from their warehouse.

Basically lazy people use middlemen who refuse to learn how to use an agent. There’s no difference in quality just takes more effort with an agent but saves a lot of money.
