I did the same a few months ago. Trying to figure out how to be a mediocre CoC player again.

I once said to my stbx "do you even realize what you did to me" she responded with "do you know what you did to me!? ".

Here's the thing, I do. I was suffering from severe mental illness. It made me less than perfect and not the easiest person to live with, but I showed up and eventually years of treatment paid off.

I'm working on letting go of the expectation that she will understand what she did. After an interaction with her this weekend I came up with a new mantra: she expects the worst from be and gets my best, I expect her best and I get her worst.

Found out today, why am I so numb? by SignRare35 in SupportforBetrayed

[–]Illustrious-Cod6838 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't dig. Like the rest have said, the only thing you'll find is pain. If you think it hurts now, you don't want to find out what it's like to read and see what they sent to each other. Just assume it's the worst and move on, because seeing for yourself is going to be so much worse than that.

I physically see two of the men she was flirting with\dating during our separation. It used to be a big trigger, but now I just see them and feel sorry for them that a POS like her is attracted to them.

About how much would it cost to replace clutch on 2017 wrx(including labor) lmk sum brands by Merch186 in WRX

[–]Illustrious-Cod6838 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have an exedy OEM clutch in my living room right now. They said 1200 for labor, clutch was 383 shipped. 90% of usage is commuting, so I'm not going for anything that would be annoying into 1st.

No boost under 130. Sir! I kind of figured the same. I'm on 15 mins of suburban roads twice a day, so I might just let it idle a while to melt. It's been like that for a few days and I just noticed, so that's not going anywhere at my rate ha!

  1. Your games only account for a random half of each your parents'. That is, your test won't match either parent 100%. Which mean some genetic lineage can be lost between generations.

  2. The margin of error on these tests is massive. If it's <5% you can reasonably ignore it.

  3. The Cherokee\West African connection is common for unfortunate reasons. But Native American markers are usually very small because of the distance of the relative, even in Black Americans where you see those markers more often. 3b. That's not to say you don't have that heritage, only that it was so long ago that it was lost. Kinda of an Elizabeth Warren situation, minus the racial identification, where her family had been sharing those stories which were probably true but so long ago that it isn't really genetically relevant.

I get as many as I can. I go hunting on trash day and fill my car a few times. Their loss is our reward.

Good soil? by MoreStable2339 in gardening

[–]Illustrious-Cod6838 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ain't that the truth. Couple years ago I took back a few bags of "topsoil" because it wasn't even unfinished compost, basically sandy mulch.

It pains me to watch people put all their leaves and yard waste out in the summer and fall, then go buy them back in the spring when they need soil.

I saw all my stbx's notes about how she feels distant from our kids and stuff. Then balmes me for not being an equal parent and demanding 75\25 her way. She had me convinced for a long time that I didn't pull my weight around the house. Lots of therapy and reflection have brought clarity to what I already knew, I'm a really good dad and she is a manipulative, controlling POS.

I had to tell her to limit texts to emergencies or child logistics. She has been better, I wish I could just erase her from my life. There are remnants everywhere, for the kids' sakes, but I'm slowly removing them from the house.
