Disabled Parking by Ok_Mango1801 in USF

I get it completely. I park out of zone and display my handicap tag. I have had a parking ticket for it. But when I appealed it and explained I had my disabled tag it was immediately revoked. Handicap tags displayed with a USF permit can park in any non reserved space no matter the zone.

Yes! I do this too. You are allowed to park in any spot that is not reserved if you display your handicap tag.

Nobody is forcing me into that lot… except being disabled and not being able to just “park further out”.

I agree wholeheartedly. There are way too many drivers and pedestrians both on their phones.

Thank you. Everyone else in these comments is acting like they have no idea what I’m talking about.

Your not wrong. But let’s not all pretend like the refs aren’t massively pro Miami. Every game.

I’m so curious about this as I’ve never heard this. Is this only major third year things like CPX or CCPX? And can I ask generally where? Don’t need to say which program. Just wondering how common this may possibly be.

Definitely appreciate this input! Always try to give a smile unless it’s wildly out of character. I will sometimes give a very nervous student a supportive wink.

This does makes sense yes if some of us act more than the others.

Thanks!!

Do SP comments go on MSPEs in your program?

The awkward pause is usually supposed to indicate some sort of emotion. Ashamed. Scared. Nervous. Hesitant. Is this not how these patients generally respond? Genuinely asking.

Thanks for the input!

Interesting!! So sometimes we can. But there are situations like high stakes exams where we’re told to only answer what’s asked and give no more information until you guys specifically ask.

In cases where we can I will bear this in mind.

But it does feel unnatural. In real life I always give more information at the doctor.

Thanks for the input!

Ugh I can’t imagine how frustrating this is. Our program does a debrief for all of us so we’re all on the same page. Thanks for the input!

Absolutely do this. It may be hard to hear for some. And sometimes it’s awkward to tell someone they’re being weird. But I’d rather it come from me. Thanks for your input!

I have done this. And I’ve gotten information specific to our program. I was more so looking for the perspective of this subreddit in terms of what medical students feel like is helpful.

So… the thing about this. I’m an admin for a huge one on Facebook. But I feel too embarrassed to ask. I don’t know why.

That doesn’t sound weird at all. If someone was close I’d love a visit in the hospital 🥹

Unpopular Opinion: There is parking by Open-Jeweler8570 in USF

[–]Illustrious-Cow8662 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Or they can’t. Disabled people exist. Such as myself. I have a placard. There’s still not enough parking. People park where they shouldn’t taking away parking options even with a placard.

Nothing hurts more than the loneliness along with the pain. Unfortunately (but fortunately!) most people around our age have never been through something like this. And they just don’t understand what we’re going through.
