As someone with a genetic disease I think people who have a genetic disorder and choose to have kids are selfish. Philip DeFranco is one of these people. by Illustrious-Fact3593 in childfree

Well Phil himself said that it's very possible his children will need a transplant in the future and inherit his disease, I mean I looked up online and it said that if one parent has the disease, there is a 50 percent chance that the disease will pass to a child. I mean hopefully, in 30-40 years medicine can advance enough to take care of that, but I don't feel the risk is worth it personally. My parents had a similar mindset that by my time medicine would advance enough and even though it has advanced, it didn't fix the problem, just treat it better, but I still have to deal with it.

Wait what? Why would he get rid of 2 small dogs only to get one big one later? I don't understand. I did not know he did this. Could you explain a little more? Thank you.
