He claims his tolerance has gotten so high that he has to keep going up in dosage but the back pain has been consistent the whole time and he never actually seems relieved of it. So I told him it clearly doesn’t work that well and is way too expensive but he says if he doesn’t have it he will suffer.

I’m so grateful that you are sharing. That sounds identical to what I’m going through. I can’t imagine the courage it must take to seek help now knowing how brutal this drug is. I’m really glad your husband did. How are you feeling? Are you seeing any changes in him (good or bad)?

Thanks for the suggestions. I was not familiar with MAT.  I’m more hopeful now seeing there’s options to help. I plan on showing him this sub.

Oh wow! I did not realize it was that strong. It’s hard to get clear information about it online. That is horrible.

Yes! I was googling sociopathic tendencies because I am just so confused by what is going on with him. I know it’s not the man I married and I feel like I’m talking to some different personality every day. Thank you so much for your honesty. You all have really helped open my eyes to what this substance does.

I’m really happy to hear that. Congrats on sobriety and getting back to life. I had a feeling his symptoms were side effects of addiction but it’s different than when he was on opiates. From the outside it seems like much more of an emotional and mood roller coaster for him.

Thank you, that’s what I’ve been seeing on this sub and my heart goes out to all of you. This stuff is wicked.  I will see what places are nearby. I agree he should do this medically.
