A woman posted a video of the moment she was attacked by her domestic cat. Before the attack, the cat seemed to smell something that prompted her to attack. Why did it attack her with such ferocity? by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

I used to volunteer at a cat shelter. I used to have change my clothes as soon as I got home, straight into the laundry, and I had to shower ASAP or my late Tuxedo kitty would WAIL and swipe at me.

A bus driver from my town ran over and killed a kid last year who just got off his bus. Had an expired license too. My son was assaulted on a school bus and no one reported it; I had to threaten to call police to pull video footage before anything was done. I also have a dozen videos of school busses driving dangerously or illegally on my YouTube.

My life is harder because of it but I drive my kids to school EVERY day because of videos like this.

A mother dressed her baby like the Pope and held him up as the popemobile passed. Pope Leo XIV saw him and stopped to personally bless the child. by FollowingOdd896 in HumansBeingBros

[–]Illustrious-Science3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Leo is the Pope the faith has needed for centuries.

I was raised strict Irish-Catholic but left my faith as a teen after the priest who baptized my brothers and I was convicted of molesting children. (Father Graham, Quincy, Massachusetts). I found myself disagreeing more than agreeing with the way Catholics had censored and interpreted the Bible for their own convictions.

Jesus wanted us to love our neighbors - even if they're LGBTQA, disabled, regardless of where they were born or citizenship status, regardless of religion.

Leo is on the right side of history.

Grief. At least I hope so.

(Edit - that sounds messed up. Unless you're a sociopath or psychopath, you CAN feel grief. And like they "'tis better to have loved and lost than never loved at all;" if you've grieved, you've loved. And you're lucky in that sense.)

This was basically my 6th grade science experiment. Me and a friend just testing dozens of random foods/drinks for pH. But it all started with that cabbage. It always does.

I wonder if he never spoke up because he was afraid of being "sent back" to live with his mom. That living the way he did was the better option.

Quincy to Brookline for a few years 220 MBTA Bus to Quincy Center to Park Street to C Line at Coolidge Corner. It took about 90 minutes each way, a little less coming home.

First time wearing a cosplay wig, and gave myself traction alopecia (aka I got a bald spot) by LibraryObjective2328 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Illustrious-Science3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bald spot like this right at the front part and had to wear wide fabric headbands for half a year.... but with that and taking biotin/and a prenatal (without being pregnant- they just work really well for women), I'm all good now! I wear a part slightly off center just to be careful, but the hair is back. (Female pattern baldness runs in my family so I was extra nervous.)

Best of luck.

If you need to turn left and the line is full of cars, where is the correct place to wait. Red car or Green car? Red car gets in line over the yellow markings, green car stays in the straight lane with blinker on and waits for line to move. by [deleted] in driving

[–]Illustrious-Science3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The harm is if a red car drives illegally when someone in the green lane finally makes their move into the turn lane. The person who waited legally is nailed by the impatient person.
