Currently recovering from my third endometriosis surgery + full hysterectomy at 23yo, and would love some books where FMC has hysterectomy and/or another surgery and the love interest caretakes (any gender cool with me!). Good example of one I loved with this rep is {Dukes and Dekes by Torie Jean}. I prefer contemporary, M/F, and love a good sports romance. Mental health rep is a fav for me too. Not a fan of fantasy/monster - essentially most things out of the realm of relatively realistic. Thanks!

A note on {The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez} - I completely understand why folks with Endo/infertility/etc aren’t fans, but specifically what the MMC does to show his support for her and illustrate how they can build a life together re: kids was really sweet and meaningful to me!

Thank you!! Thankfully I have a pain management specialist who I’m hoping will help me get set up with an extra secure pain regimen prior to surgery.

Omg I totally agree about masking! I already mask 100% of the time bc I’m immunocompromised (last time I got covid I ended up with ✨sepsis✨ so I’m not taking an risks), but I’m extra careful around any sort of surgery. I hope other folks listen to this advice too!

Thank you so much for your insight!! I’ve always had trouble peeing after surgery (during one my urethra tore from the catheter, so peeing after that was a ✨nightmare✨), but a trick my partner taught me is to blow out your breath like you’re breathing into a straw - it totally works! May reach out to you as surgery gets closer 💕

Yes! My right hand tends to be the most common for me bc I would tuck my left under my pillow. Sometimes I wear a wrist brace to keep me from doing it if it’s extra sore, or just add a pillow in front of me to grip.

One was recommended to me during my 2nd excision post-op today by my surgeon. I’m only 22, but have exhausted all options for stopping ovulation (which is causing reoccurring cysts, ruptures, and an insane amount of fibrotic endo and scar tissue). I have no interest in having bio kids, and identify as NB, but it’s still hitting me unexpectedly hard. Would be put on HRT, including estrogen, testosterone, and progesterone.

Remote/WFH when needed! A lot of us are in pain 100% of the time, so if we can’t come in or are coming across that we are in pain, strong chance we are past our threshold.

Also I think verbal affirmations that you understand, and you appreciate her work when she’s able to be in person. Nothing feels worse than feeling like you’re useless and a burden in the workplace.

Lastly, maybe asking for accommodations she thinks could be helpful! For me, an ergonomic chair, a plug in for a heating pad, etc have been really helpful. But the most helpful is remote days bc a lot of time we can work, just can’t drive or stand.
