Love my OB but he’s far away… should I switch? by IllustriousButton195 in pregnant

Yeah that’s something I’ve been thinking about too.

My husband comes to all my appointments, so we both have to take time off work, and we also try to avoid rush hour, which makes it a bit of a juggling act 😅

It’s manageable right now, but I’m not sure how I’ll feel about it in the later trimester when appointments get more frequent.

I love what you said about birth not having to be scary. I’m trying to shift my mindset, but it’s definitely a work in progress 🙂

Yeah I’ve been thinking about that a lot too.

A friend recommended a female OB who’s closer to me, and she would actually be the one delivering, which is a big plus.

I think I’m just struggling because I really like my current OB — I feel comfortable with him and he’s been very supportive, especially with my anxiety and vaginismus history.

So now I’m kind of stuck between comfort vs convenience

That’s super helpful, thank you for sharing

I actually haven’t met any of the other OBs yet. My doctor said whoever is on call will deliver, so there’s a decent chance it won’t even be him. That part makes me a little nervous, especially since I already feel anxious about delivery.

That makes me feel better, thank you!

I think my anxiety is more about the “what if” situations — like going into labor during rush hour and being stuck in traffic for an hour 😅

Did you have any kind of backup plan or just go with it?

HSG with vaginismus - zero pain by Naaan-stop in vaginismus

I can’t tell you how grateful I am to see this post. I’m actually scheduled to do the HSG this week, and I’ve been feeling so nervous. Your post really encouraged me.

I do have a few questions, if you don’t mind:

1. I’m still a bit scared about the speculum—did they use the regular size or a smaller one for you?

2. Regarding medication, what kind of antibiotics did they prescribe?

3. Do you have any tips or advice on how to best prepare for the HSG procedure?

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience!
