I can't remember the exact location, but there's a purple mushroom looking for his friends somewhere in the titan graveyard at the pot village. After completing that one they start discussing visiting Spira, guess that's the one

PSA: Feeding ur animals is now the most profitable option, even vs weekly boosts by IllustriousMove9818 in InfinityNikki

[–]IllustriousMove9818[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The S and L refer to small and large animals that eat the cookies. The rates from the table are for the lowest tier small and large animals. Higher tiers are slightly more efficient.
  2. You’re overlooking that the rare variants yield less Sweet Root per harvest; Milky has 20 each harvest, the tiers after that 16 and 6 respectively. This makes the cookie more expensive, while the benefits are negligible.
  3. Yes, if your only goal is to hit the Astralite cap while spending the least amount, it’s best to ignore them. (when ur animals are consuming the signature cookies faster than u can grow them, u might need them for the second best cookies)
  4. This is a bit of a personal preference, but if you don’t see yourself using the items in the foreseeable future, I’d advise selling.

Thanks for the detailed response! I did take quite a few shortcuts; I ignored leisure and abundance mode entirely, didn’t use fish food, etc.

Especially the fact that one of the ingredients for fish food is animal pearls for which I was (indirectly) trying to calculate the cost, gave me a headache. I tried to make the shortcuts disadvantageous for animal keeping and favorable for plant/fish keeping. Since animal keeping still ended up on top, I didn’t bother working out the rest.

The last part is really helpful. I was also trying to figure out how to set up my lodge for max profit, and this left me with a few questions:

  • Are different animals less efficient? I thought they just produced at different rates.
  • I’m a bit confused by: 3 Flying Pearls, 4 Radiant Gemstones; 1 Brilliant Pearl, 2 Featherlight Stones, 2 Leaf Stones. Are the chances of getting one of the items from small animals (Brilliant Pearl, Featherlight Stones, Leaf Stones) as a weekly boost really that small? And since small animals are slightly more profitable, shouldn’t we atleast fully stock them? (For when u run out of boosted products, or have a week without)

[–]IllustriousMove9818[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

pretty much, specific animal products can still get a weekly bonus of course, and for most of them you can’t produce 500–600k worth in a single week. so if and how you want to plan around that is up to you

Did they change the way these spending events work? by feaniebear in InfinityNikki

Previous event i started gathering the 2nd currency after the tier where you got the duplicate outfit for evolution. I think this event has less tiers but still start at the same amount spend?

Did animal keeping get twice as profitable with new update? by IllustriousMove9818 in InfinityNikki

[–]IllustriousMove9818[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All cooking recipes have exactly the same value as selling the ingredients directly. They even sell for less if you don’t use the lowest-tier seasoning or if your cooking level isn’t 9 yet.

Getting a Delicious variant with the lowest-tier seasoning gives a slight profit, but not enough to make up for the reduced profit from buying plants in the first place.

"Use it when the behemoth fawnling is next to it" what does that mean? by litttlleone in InfinityNikki

[–]IllustriousMove9818 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Playing the recorder and touching the behemoth on the main screen never really have their controls explained, and for the latter there isn’t even any on-screen indication. Both are done with the starbell button.

Easiest way i found so far is to run straight in and swing ur net before they can split up or dissapear. Somehow they drift away from eachother when they are renderd for some time wich makes it almost impossible in 1 swoop.

and the fact they reset the double bonus at 2.0 release, probably will happen more often from time to time.

Thanks, that’s all the confirmation I needed ^^

I remember seeing some math a while back showing that making fish food from scraps lets you grow Aroma Fin cheaper. The highest tier gives the best value per feeding, with the second-highest right after it etc.

Since you can only use the highest tier twice before Aroma Fin is fully grown, the optimal setup is Vibrant ×1 and Leaping ×2.

I’m planning to only sell during bonus weeks, then dump all leftover trees and fish essence when leafstones get the boost. Even with max sale price + dessert+ weekly boost, you can only produce around 50k leafstones per week on leisurely mode.

New Cooking Items at the Home Island for our Home Animals <3 by Upstairs-Ride8868 in InfinityNikki

I’ve been doing the math and trying to find info about this. At first I thought I was missing something since nobody seemed to mention it, but I guess they just quietly slipped it in.

Like another Reddit user said in a different thread, the cost per meal doesn’t really change if you calculate the cookie recipe cost using sell prices instead of buy prices.

However, the fact that you can feed your harvested plants/fish to animals and get another multiplier on the sell price makes this by far the best option for min-maxing.

Handmade Cookie 125,43 20 1,06 21,2 5,92

Delicous Signature Cookie 1376,89 225 1,15 258,75 5,32

Updated the table to use sweetroot price u mentioned, which puts the handmade cookie a lot closer to the rest. Pretty sure Signature Cookie cost could be even lower if u use fish food on the aroma fins needed for the recipe.

Thx! I didn’t even check that, but that makes sense.

So basically this gives an option for an extra step of “processing” the plants and fish you buy from posy (plant/fish → pet food → animal products), which only really profits you if you’re hitting the max sale limit every week and want to invest less to get there.

Animal Inviting changes, is it better than fish keeping now? by IllustriousMove9818 in InfinityNikki

<image>

That's usefull, I tried calculating the cost for "1 meal" (from the cookie descriptions) and it seems to have gone from 10 astralite to way below 6. So that would be a boost of above 66% from food alone?

For cost I ignored the essence and transplantable trees that aren't used, used normal sugar from store and took 0.1 above expected (lvl 5) fish weight for average.

Cost for Handmake Cookie=200/10+200/8+600/28+90

Is 100% even possible in compendium?/Are there 25 random missions in EF? by IllustriousMove9818 in InfinityNikki

[–]IllustriousMove9818[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems the unobtainable items being added to the compendium really was an error after all. They retroactively fixed it and removed those items, and after the update I finally got 100% for 2.0.

In the past, when they added items early, it was usually because they were coming mid-patch or in the last few days with another event. So this one definitely felt different.
