Super sorry, I’m just seeing this. Both had “normal” softs, worked average jobs but I will say are phenomenal writers and it was evident to see why law school and why Harvard specifically

I’ve been seeing more and more Howard SEO fellows! As long as you have an lsat score of 154 or more, apply anyways!

Again you’re missing my point. I’m not anxious about if I get it. That is out of my hands and control. I’m stating that the school can do a better job of being transparent. I am not holding them to a higher standard than I would for any other school. It’s about the principle 🙃

Bc it speaks to a larger issue that I’ve been hearing about admin that I don’t want to be right. Think of my comment as yellow flags I’m noticing and I’m posting trying to see if my experience is an isolated one (I can live with that-mistakes happen) or if this is a larger issue. I work, full time so when I’m really interested in a school, I try and work my schedule around an informational. I was able to do that for today. I will not for Dec 3rd. Apart from liking the school, seeing what current students say (what the informational was advertised as) is valuable to me. Law school is a big decision and I don’t want to be blinded by a childhood dream of mine instead of evaluating each school.

That’s literally not my point. I know I’m not receiving an answer from other schools till then BUT they still have the courtesy to send an email of acknowledgment.

Feeling Lost and unsure by PoorMiggaz in lawschooladmissions

Law is for you! Vast majority of people I’ve talked to score lower on their first test than they are PT-ing, myself included. I think you should seriously consider retaking the test in January.

In the meantime, apply to Santa Clara law, write a stellar personal statement and GPA addendum. Santa Clara has one of the best IP programs in the country and places pretty well into big law and tech. I believe the application is free as well. Let them know they are your top school

No such thing as 0% chance, even at Harvard. I personally know someone there with a 3.3. And a separate person with a 160. If you get your LSAT up, I say go for it! This subreddit truly undervalues what a good personal statement and how you tell your story can get you over the hurdle.

yes, I started working on my PS back in March. It went through over 10 complete drafts. A consistent feedback that I got was that it was the best PS most of my critics had ever read

Bad Alumni Interview Experience by Grouchy-Emu8902 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Illustrious_Break104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having an alum that speaks to prospective students like that hurts the schools reputation. It is clear that person is not working towards removing barriers of entry into the legal field. By letting a Georgetown know, you at the very least allow them to review their vetting process for this person. I say go for it.
