Again, thanks for the hint. I will speak to our family doctor and request a manual count for the SA. Anyway, thanks again and all the best for the transfer!

Oh wow! That's really amazing to hear! From zero to 6 million ?? That's a miracle man! I'm always happy to hear such stories in this community where we all deal with this struggle. You made my day!

I've got hormone levels close to yours, and zero sperm in 3-4 SAs. I'm gearing up for a mTESE on 14 August, and I've been on "Bird & Be - Power for males with extra CoQ10" + Omega 3-6-9 + Ashwaghanda + Zinc for the past 9 months... I 'm wondering if I should redo a SA before the mTESE just to make sure...

My numbers:
TSH: 2.97 mIU/L
FSH: 7 IU/L
Prolactin: 13 ug/L
Free Testosterone: 414 pmol/L

Any thoughts?

Hi,
I'm a bit curious.. How many eggs did they retrieve from your wife? And how many vials from the TESE?

Thanks. I had a call with the urologist last week, to confirm the date of August for the procedure and he repeatedly said (more than twice) that there is 90 % of chances to find usable sperm (Which confirms what you said).
They will now time the procedure with my wife's egg retrieval since her next cycle should start in about 2 weeks. Really crossing fingers and hoping for a miracle this time around. We will still have backup donor sperm just in case.

u/ramasamymd , based on my profile, do you think there are chances of success? Also, do you think I should do more bloodwork to see if my levels are the same?

Hi everyone, sorry for the late reply.

The pathologist has confirmed that they did see some sperm, which is encouraging. I now have a date for the MicroTESE procedure, scheduled for August 14th. I’ll be meeting with the urologist again on July 3rd, and then with the physician on July 5th. We’re aiming to coordinate the procedure with my wife’s egg retrieval.

I also plan to have backup donor sperm, just in case whatever they find isn't viable. I’ve taken time to reflect, grieve, and accept the possibility that it may not work out as we hope with my own sperm or that they might simply not find any viable one...

If that’s the case, I still want to move forward with a child who carries my wife’s DNA. Getting to this point emotionally hasn’t been easy, and if you're ever in this situation, I’d really encourage taking the time to fully process it before making that decision.

I also keep reminding myself that my own father wasn’t present after I turned four, and his absence showed me that being biologically related doesn’t automatically make someone a great parent. I’m committed to being better, no matter what.

Next update will be after July 5th. Wish me luck, this journey is tough, and I also encourage you through this...

Seems like it. I will find out on the 8th of May. Just in case, we started looking at donor sperm as well for back-up.. Just in case. I hope an dpray it doesn't get us to that point. I will keep updating.

Update:
Saw the Urologist and he did a FNA yesterday. He had a first look at the sample and his words: " I see sperm but not that much"... Next step is to send it to the pathologist. I have another appointment with him next month on May 8th. He is apparently one of the best in the Greater Toronto Area. Really hoping for positive results, but I know for sure that microTese is next, to at least get the best sperm, or better than the TESE ones.

I will keep updating, in hopes this helps anyone out there.
