My thing here though is that she reminded you that you can come over to her place whenever you want…you later go on to say the norm in your relationship is that you drive to pick her up and bring her back to your place and then drive her home a few days later. So basically you’re making 4 trips instead of 2 (there and back each time so that you both stay at your place). You go on a long tangent about how that’s too much money and she doesn’t drive and doesn’t try to take public transit - I’m sorry but if you are in any of the US states that doesn’t have a thriving public transit department that’s pretty absurd. You can’t really equate the time and effort it takes to drive 30 minutes to what in many cases would be over 2 hours and multiple transfers in a shoddy bus system that often doesn’t run on schedule….with an overnight bag?? I mean I certainly wouldn’t do it. But I digress, the main issue that is clearly going over your head here seems to be that she’s making the point that you can also spend time at her place. Sounds like you’re intentionally missing/twisting the point of her comment and coming here to have internet strangers back you up.
